Hi everyone, i recently installed guildwars and as soon as I open it up my mouse pointer blinks. If I don't move my mouse it'll disappear, and when I do move it it blinks rapidly and looks distorted. I'm running on a laptop with a 3.1 ghz pentium 4 processor, 1024mb of ram, a NVidia geforce fx go5200 video card. I'm not sure what's causing it and would be thankful if anyone can help me fix it. Thanks.

I have that. It's because I have the Hardware Acceleration turned down slightly, else my computer crashes. You may not have that problem, so just turn it back up.
If only there was a way to make the mouse pointer not blink without turning that up.
The only way I know of (if you can't turn your hardware acceleration up without having computer problems) is to play in a window. I play in a window generally, so it doesn't bother me (MSN and other things in the background I use at the same time).

Im having the same exact problem and its driving me nuts. Ive tried everything but nothing seems to help. Im also on a laptop, AMD Athlon XP-M 1.66 GHZ, 512 RAM, 60 GIG free with a VIA/S3 Unichrome graphics card (64 MB).
If anyone could help that would be awsome.

Do you have any options selected in the Motion tab in the Mouse Properties? Smart move and cursor trails might be causing this. Also, you could try disabling the pointer shadow.
Are you using an optical mouse?

Hey all - I've found the solution for windows vista and the mouse arrow flickering when running in full screen ... What i did is I turned off my Mouse Pointer Trails. after that - it ran perfectly --- hope this helps others ~ +^_^+

Some solutions are more difficult to find than others.
