Ranged attacking pets?

Is there such thing as Ranged attacking pet?
So far I’ve seen these pets that are all melee.
Bears
Desert Lizard
Dire Spiders
Melandru Stalker
Moa Bird
Snow Lynx
Strider
Warthog
Wolf

I would really love a pet that could sit at the back with me and attack from afar.

I haven't seen one, but one of the main points of having a pet is a tank to take some hits while you, the ranger, uses ranged attacks. I'd rather have a melee pet than one that sits back with me and lets me take hits while it does little damage.
