Just Started.. need suggestion!

I just started GW yesterday and I'm not sure about how i shold build my char and what equip i shold use.. here's what i got so far.
I'm a lvl 9 R/Necro

BLood Magic : 4
death magic : 0
Curse: 2
Beast Mastery 3
Expertise 2
Wilderness: 2
Marksmanship : 5

Im using a 11-19 long bow.
fur line legging = armor 25
fur vest = armor 25
fur line boots = armor 40
fur line gloves = 40.

If anyone is nice enough.. PM me with how to customize weapons .. thnx...

go to NPC's that have [weapons] after they're name, they can customize weapons for you. As for how to build your character, use the skills you find most effective, that work well with your playing style.

Ditch the beast mastery, and focus your points more if you can.

yeh you should focus on what you want, don't spread your attributes points around. For me, i concentrate on markmanship to the point that i can use a good bow usually around 10+ markmanship; after that put in for secondary profession

Yeah, most people focus on only 2-4 Attributes.
This makes sense when you realize you only have eight active skills, and some of the will certainly be the same attribute. If you can juggle your skills a little to get fewer attributes in your active skills, you can focus a bit more.

Don't forget you can "refund" your attributes and try something new whenever you want (well, almost whenever you want -- not too much trouble).

I got a Ranger/Necro combo as well.

I'm focusing on Marksmanship, Beastmaster and Death Magic (i like spawning lots of crap to do might fighting)

So far it's enjoyable, but I will probably have to change it when I get into PvP action.
