I have managed to amass quite a few tanned hides but I have yet to find one fur square can anyone please tell me what they salvage from ??

You can get fur squares from hides using an Expert Salvage kit (small chance of it happening though), however i believe there is a collector outside of ascalon (searing) that will trade charr hides for fur squares ;)

Actually that collector is in Ascalon and trades 4 char hides for 1 fur.

yes, she's the neice of the weapons smith. Starting from the Smith, walk back towards the Merchants row, she's on the corner to your right. :)

400gp/20 uses = 20gp per use, so?

I just want to know what makes more fursquares per hide.

If I swap with the collector I get 1fur/4hides, I still have to get the tanned.
If I salvage I get from 4 hides, what?

Frankly you get 4-8 leather squares from 4 Charr hides (which you can get from using a regular salvage kit, and easy drops) unless very lucky. I think the reason they added the collector is that the Fur drop rate from the expert Salvage kit was (and still is) 1 in 8 or 10 Charr hides.

So frankly Rangers were getting hosed for awhile there, and people were charging 500-1000 for a single fur square. :mad:

I tried salvaging 4hides and got 8 tannedhides. :o
