Im a lvl 14 Monk/Elementalist and im mainly a healer at the moment and was wondering if these were the best skills to use:

Orison of healing
Vigorous healing
healing breeze
Devine Boon
Heal party
Purge conditions
Glyph of lesser energy
Resurrect

and i got 360hp 39 energy
12 healing prayers
3 divine favor

so can anyone tell me any improvements :happy34:

Are you sure that 12 in healing and 3 divine favor is the optimal spread at lvl 14? Remember that each point in divine healing yields 3.2 hp whenver you use any healing spell. Droping your healing prayers one or two points and upping divine favor would probable make you a better healer.

Its hard to suggest changes to your build because people arent going to know what skills you have access to but your setup looks good.

^^^ id just suggest the best possible skills, he can go abuot finding them.

not too experienced with monks, but that looks good. Heal other might be good in there (its elite though)

also, for certain areas, you might want to take a hex removal along. you COULD leave that to a protection monk, but they arent too popular/common. purge conditions is a good idea.

I make use of Protection magic mostly. I just assisted a party in getting to Quarrel Falls as being the only healer in the group, so I can say it has certainly been tested by fire. Presently, I am level 15 Monk and Mesmer, and a devote follower of Dwayna.

I have:
Inspiration magic at level 7
Divine Favor at level 8
Protection magic at level 9

My primary healing spells are:

Divine Boon
Mend Ailment
Reversal of Fortune

The spells have excellent potential beyond what some of the numbers indicate. Mend Ailment is perfect for healing and removing conditions at the same time. Reversal of Fortune is extremely awesome, the casting speed makes it hard for even a fast Mesmer to interrupt and when these spells are combined with Divine Boon you can get 100-200 damage healed easily...all with fast recharge and fast casting. All classes have a form of healing and these protection spells compliment them all nicely. Divine Boon also can be disabled if you are low on power and you have some breathing room in a battle, and recast Boon when needed again.

You should also always have a Hex remover, especially if you find yourself hexed with a nasty Mesmer hex.

The biggest advantage to the Protection line is the diversity. We can can make allies extremely durable, evasive, or even nullify massive damage attacks. We also have the ability to disable foes from attacking as well. We can do all this and heal if we make use of our unique Divine Favor and use of Divine Boon.

I believe a Monk primary makes the most use of the Protection line since it compliments so nicely with Divine Favor.

Elementalist primary with Monk secondary that use Energy Storage and Healing Prayers are superior for focusing on Healing specifically.

Dwayna's blessing go with you all,

purge conditions is a pretty bad spell beacuse of the recharge time. better to stick with a mend ailment or draw conditions. i personally don't like heal party but i guess the glyph takes care of the energy problem. i just think you can there are more useful skills.

Heal other might be good in there (its elite though)

For the record, Heal Other is NOT an elite skill.
