there really isn't a cookie cutter build around. I would consider trying to figure out what you want your character to accomplish (tank? heavy hitter? PvE or PvP even may be helpfull).

I suggest actually trying out a few different skill sets to see what style fits you best...

maybe a heavy hitter but with enchantments thta make him durable, earth gives those

aftershock
glyph of lesser energy
armor of earth
ward against melee
ward against elements
with the last slot available to anything

Essentially, i tell mages to stay in ward, when the warriors come for them, I earthquake + aftershock

Cheap power spells, fast recharge. Just remmeber to keep Ele attunement up at all times, and Earth attunement
