ok...this is kinda off topic, but i think this is still the best place to ask about cloth, since ele's armor need mainly cloth.

what are some good places to farm them in early games?
where do you get them in pre? i know you can salvage it out from the grawl shaman armor, but where else?

Hmm I can't remember. A "Half-eaten Blob" will give you cloth. Try trading your materials for cloth...

Ex. Necro's need wood planks, you don't. Warriors could use a lot of iron ingots. You won't. : )

Consult the salvage guide. "Half-eaten mass" comes from scorpions. Plus the other easy source is any Humanoid mob that is caster oriented that drops "gear" will usually yield cloth. More warrior sounding gear produces leather.

It depends on how far into the game you are. I personally think that the Undead are the best to farm for cloth. Decayed Orr Robes, Decayed Orr Emblems, Ghoul Collars, and Warlocks Robes all salvage for cloth.

Yeah, undead rock. After you get to Lion's Arch, go to the D'Alessio Seaboard mission. It's ridiculously easy to farm.

I have a Mesmer/Elementalist, and I got like 400 cloth and levelled from 13-15 in two hours. Along with about a dozen runes, steel, etc.

Enter the mission, run over to the archer so that he'll move on ahead. Fall back to a safe distance and then cast Firestorm, then run up and Lava Font+Inferno to kill the pack of three mobs. Grab the loot. If you did it fast, the guard will still have about half hps left. He'll continue on to the next set, which is significantly harder.

It has a level 15 archer and two level 11 mobs. I've found that with Armor of Earth and Aura of Restoration (mine only heals 150% instead of the normal 250 or 300 because I'm a primary Mesmer) along with constant skill-spam, you can win this fight pretty easily.

For this fight, it's better to run ahead of the archer so that the mobs crowd you and your AoEs can hit them all.

You probably won't be able to handle the last pack until level 14 or maybe even 15, but each run guarantees you 6 items (5 if you can't fight the Undead Ranger), which each have about a 50% chance of dropping something that breaks down into 2-4 cloth.

The first pack either way is pathetically easy with a couple of AoEs and the archer tanking for you.

You could probably take them at level 9 or 10, as you have about 20 seconds to deal out a little under 400 damage before they kill the archer.

Lava Font is about 75 damage, even at really low levels. Fire Storm is 150 damage. Inferno is at least 60 damage at level 10.

Without a doubt, it's the easiest place to farm for levels 10-15.
