15k monk armour

Mods are the same and I have yet to encounter a monk armour that looks substantially different from the rest. Anybody have screen shots/advice on whether to bother with the 15k stuff or not? Thanks!

I have the 15k monk armor, named saintly. the stats on it is nothing different than other armors except the look is different.
imo, if you have the money get it. You get this good feeling of standing out from the rest. I will post a picture of my monk hero with the 15 armor.
Making 60k is not easy. I made money thru farming in riverside solo. Killing the undead. I can make 5k-6k in 1hr

Hum... I guess no matter what, saintly will always look bad...
I'll go for the wanderer's set (hoping that the design is different), if I don't find anything better in fissure and underworld. Tatoo is just to ugly on a female monk (while it is not that bad on the male, at least if you only have the upper part of the armor tattoed).

Personally, I couldn't do without my loin cloth. Faith is my true defense, even against the frigid elements.

That picture of the Saintly armor looks *exactly* like the Sacred armor that you can buy in Droknar's for much less money. I should know, I'm wearing the Sacred right now.

If you guys can see a difference, please inform me.

What exactly is the difference between the 15k (actually, 8k + materials) scars and the Droknar's scars in appearance? What about the Wanderer's Armor and regular Monk armor?

The only thing I've seen with a fairly unique look is the 15k Judge's armor set. I would like to hear from some other people about this before I go ahead and waste all of my cash buying something that looks exactly the same as what I already have.

Are there any 15k tatoos? my monks whole upper body is tatoo, would be nice if there were any special tatoo designs, then have bottom as 15k clothes :P

that "saintly" stuff isn't offered at the granite citadel, which is where i thought the 15k armor is (i mean, most of this stuff here IS 15k).

but the monk designs (tattoos, to some of you) offered here are different than those offered elsewhere. i can't buy them yet, but you can see by their icons that they are different. i dont know about the wanderer's and judge's outfits.

I believe we need glob of ectoplasm. I have about 11 of them.
I am not too happy with my 15k saintly armor. But, i wear it till i get a better looking armor.

ROFL! Looks pretty much like the same stuff to me :eek: Seems like a waste of paying 13.5k more for different trim on the skirt. Oh yeah, and Judge's Armor is pretty much identical to Censor's Armor, same stats aswell. Believe me, if you get Censor's Armor and compare it to Judge's Armor, your not going to notice much of a difference. So for people who want either of those armors for 15k... I say settle for the 1.5k ones that look the same, and save the rest of your gold for those items/runes that you need :happy34:

Every profession has 1 bugged 15k set that looks identical to the 1.5k. For the monks i'm fairly sure it's the saintly.

And the 15k tatooes look substantially different from the 1.5k. Here's a pic (not my character - can't remember where i originally got it from):

If I recall correctly, the Judge's armor was red (the trim, I believe, is always white), and the Saintly trim was a greyish white. A while before I dyed both red, to better match my cape, I had dyed them silver almost immediately after crafting them, and I think the Saintly trim became slightly lighter when I used the silver dye. I got the Judge's armor quite a while ago, and I don't remember enough about the original red to say whether or not it is different from the current red.

Its the monk 60AL armour that you get from the collectors.

i have just found out that The Granite Citadel offers some 15k armors, and Marhan's Grotto offers other 15k armor(s). therefore, there isn't one "the monk 15k armor". the way people talked about 15k armor, i thought there was only one set. i'm glad to finally know the truth.

There is also a 15k crafter in the Fissure of Woe, and (I hear) another in the Underworld.

PS I guess collector Monk's doesnt have the AL against elements? It looks really awesome though ...

The difference between Judge's armor and Censors armor are the patterns on Judge's armor. The difference between Saintly armor and Sacred armor is the stitching on the outside of the armor (Sacred armor only has a single line, while Saintly is stitched). Neither is as noticable as the Ascetic's armor or armor for every other class character. I really do not see the point to Ascetic's armor, though, since it is only +17 energy vs the +10 of Saintly armor and +6 of Judge's armor. 7-11 energy does not make much difference when you have no added elemental or physical defence.

what i am curious about is what armor would be best for a pure healing monk? i guess what i need is max possible energy and protection against elemental damage. therefore i'm guessing tatoos are the best choice. though which tatoos give more energy? the ones at draknar's forge? or should i wait and save up for the 15k armor?

Here's a question. I've got a set of AL30 Wanderer armor from Ascalon. I'm in the Bergen Hot Spring area where they sell AL39 tattoo armor. Is the difference in AL that significant that it's worth the upgrade or should I wait for something more substantial?

And if I should wait, where is the location of the next armor set?

if you have the time, go to temple of ages, from there to fishermans haven and then head south through stingray strand towards sanctum cay, in the southern part of stingray strand you can find a crafter that makes AL57 armor, second best there is.

The crafter mentioned is not far outside Sanctum Cay just to the west. IIRC, he is listed simply as "crafter" and is on the beach next to a hill/cliff. I purchased some of the tattoo armor and the selection is definitely the best armor I've seen yet (I've gotten as far as Amnoon in the Crystal Desert). I believe I read in another thread that this crafter has great armor for all the caster professions.

i'd also be interested if somebody knows if you can craft monks armor in FoW/UW and if so, what it takes and what it looks like.
My team almost got that far in FoW, but we couldn't the last cleaning because it was 4 in the morning and some wanted to go to bed :rolleyes:

Finally got all the quests that needed doing done so I got this list. The first one needs Cloth, Damask, Ectoplasm, and Obsidian Shards, the second one introduces Vellum, the third introduces what I assume is Fur, and the fourth is made from what I assume to be Deldrimor Steel as well as the standard three materials. I didnt pay close attention to them, just took the screenshot, so Fur and Steel are just guesses. But that's roughly what's required!
