My stats are
Fast Casting 10
Domination 14
Death Magic 9
Guilt, Shame, Empathy, Rotting Flesh, Backfire, Power Spike, Power Leak, and Energy Burn
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to where is a place that a person like me can farm and if there are any skill rearrangements I should make?
Hmm... I can't think of a really excellent way to do any specific farming off hand.
The best builds for farming are ones that can dish out a lot of AoE damage. Survival and localized damage are great for regular PvE and PvP, but the key to calling it farming is speed. There are a few AoE spells available via Death Magic, so it may be possible to rework your skills into something that may work for a given location/situation.
You definatley need some Area of Effect skills like Phaeax suggested.
Chaos Storm and Deathly Swarm might be good, I know Swarms not a true AoE but it does effect multiple enemies.
You might also look into Blood Magic as opposed to Fast casting, for a few life sustaining skills.

Hey Phaeax I remember you from Diabloii.net. I think we traded quite a bit about 6 months ago when I still played D. I can't remember my Diablo account name, so I guess you have no idea who I am. :p
Anyway back on topic. Tirethos, if you were battling an army consisting entirely of casters, then I think your build could work, but I don't know of any farming areas with tons and tons of casters...I can think of a way for this to work though.
Use Deathly Swarm for some basic AoE damage. Cast Conjure Phantasm, followed by Virulence, and finally Epidemic. This gives the mob of enemies health degeneration of 5 for 12 seconds, disease for 13 seconds, and weakness for 13 seconds. Once one enemy dies, spam Putrid Explosion like mad. (If you've ever played Diablo 2, just remember corpse explosion :))

Have you actually tried this?
Phantasm gives life degen, and its not a condition. Conditions are, http://www.gwonline.net/page.php?p=79
The only way through Nec skills to get a condition to help this is, i believe, Necrotic Traversal which poisons nearby enemies, but you need a corpse.
EDIT: Mind you, your idea isn't bad. I used to farm with my N/W using Dismember or Swift Chop to cause deep wounds, followed by Virulence. Of course, only disease spread this way, but that would be followed by cyclone axes and the first target to drop (typically the virulence key target) would then give me a corpse to explode, or well (given the situation).

My first post here, but I've been lurking behind the scenes for a few months. A great website for an awesome game. I have ove 200 hours of play so far I think.
Anyway, back to the topic. I too am a Mesmer/Necromancer and after I finished the PvE adventure I tried my hand at building farmers. There were quite a few experiments I got to work, but two days after I began, Arena.net adjusted the game to make it 3x harder in some cases to solo milk those monsters. Heh, I love a challenge and have gotten an even better build to work, but no Necro spells unfortunately... just pure Mesmer madness.
Currently I go after the Flesh Golems in Perdition. All of this has been done post-Golem buff patch and can take out at least 4-5 easily in under 30 seconds a mob. Take on anymore and you run into skill recharge issues.
My Farmer Stats:
9 Fast Cast - (8+1)
10 Illusion - (9+1)
15 Domination - (11+3+1)
9 Inspiration - (8+1)
My Bonuses:
Insightful Staff of Defense: Health 455, Energy 51, Armour Bonus +5
Superior Vigor Rune
My Skills:
1 - Inspired Hex (Insp)... Removes a hex AND gives you bonus energy.
2 - Physical Resistance (Insp)... Gives you +40 Armour to take on the Golems in melee for at least a minute
3 - Illusion of Weakness (Illu)... Free bonus health (170+) whenever you get the enchantment dispelled by the Golems
4 - Shatter Hexes (Dom)... The big mama of the build, it removes a hex on you then punishes ALL creatures for 140+ damage each!
5 - Echo {E}... At only 5 energy in cost, it cheaply gives you another Shatter Hex to cast five seconds apart. Worth the elite spot here.
6 - Energy Tap (Insp)... Get more needed energy to do more farming damage.
7 - Chaos Storm (Dom)... over 10 seconds, this does 140 total DoT damage to ALL Golems.
8 - Anything. Seriously, I don't have to have any required 8th skill, but I often select Ether Feast (Insp) for 100+ health if in a pinch.
Here's the routine. Enter Perdition and turn on your Illu. Weakness. Head right for Fleshies and wait for your health to recover. When it's nearly full, click on your Armour Resistance and wait for the 10 energy used to re-charge.
Find the nearest mob and jump into battle! Get in as close to all Golems as possible (head towards the first hex caster is best IMHO). Then you do the following... Echo, Shatter Hex, Chaos Storm, Echo'd Shatter Hex. That's 280 damage so far to all of them, and CS is giving you another 140 over time (420 total after it dies out).
Now you need energy. Hit Inspired Hex, Energy Tap if you see you still have a hex on you. If not, then Energy Tap, Inspired Hex because you will by then. Why not always do Energy Tap first? I'll explain below. After those two are cast, your two Shattered Hexes are still recharging quickly. You have time (and energy) to cast Ether Feast if you'd like for more health.
Finally the damaging spells are ready. Simply hit Shatter Hex again and they all should die if you were bunched in close enough. That's a whopping 560 points of pain you've delivered in about 25 seconds or so. If a straggler remains alive, look mom, I have an Echo'd Shatter Hex waiting to be used for yet another 140 blast. If a Flesh Golem can survive 700 points of damage after all that, type /ShakeEnemy'sHand because I'd say he deserves to live another day. :D
Look at your health bar... I can do this on a mob and have 50%-60% of life left remaining, thanks to the lingering Armour Resistance and health recharges. Still, you may find that a DoT curse remains on you after the skirmish. If you were able to cast Inspired Hex early enough (as indicated above), you should soon be able to use it again to simply remove the hex and you're all done. Pick up your loot, click Illusion of Weakness once you're healthy enough to do so and move on.
The only thing to be careful of is that you don't cast the hex removing skills before you are actually hexed. They will trigger but nothing will happen. And as for the rewards, the drops are poorer than before, but I've gotten some highly decent stuff regardless (three Gold Axes among them!). Besides, the fun is just creating something potent and effective.
Working on PvP builds is fun, but it requires an overall team strategy to make it work well at high levels. Farmer builds are fun because the rewards for coming up with a good one is for the player alone. I hope to see or come up with more ideas here in this thread for non-hex creatures in the future.

BTW, you can also get away with these stats to max out the damage at the cost of energy and health regen:
My Farmer Stats:
8 Fast Cast - (7+1)
8 Illusion - (7+1)
16 Domination - (12+3+1)
9 Inspiration - (8+1)
This way, each Chaos Storm hit is 15 per second for 150 total over time, and each Shatter Hex spell gives you 148 damage per cast. New calculations:
148+148+150+148= 594... or 742 if you need the last SH.
