Elemental or Resist armor?

For stricktly pvp what has the best benifit all around? Also what is the reason for your answer? Character I have is a healer monk fyi.

I've been of the understanding that when you take damage it is based on where you are hit on the body. You are most often hit in the chest and leg area. I've also heard that certain types of spells only target the chest area. (Read that somewhere in the Warrior's forum when discussing armor.)

I think a better way of looking at things would be to ask where are you hit most often with elemental damage. If you are hit most often in the chest then you could simply put the resistance there, then the rest of your armor vs physical.

Im gonna say I dont belive that. When its a point and click game I dont see it mattering. Shadowbane didnt have that and this is no where near in depth for char building so Im gonna have to say BS.

Also it doesnt tell us how much resistance against any particular thing that I have seen so that makes it that much more difficult. Do anyone know the deal for sure?
