The w/e is lvl 20 and the r/w is lvl 10, the warrior is equiped withthis (http://guildwarsguru.net/content/burning-blade-id1193.php) build, and a the r/w using skills only to stay alive... would the warrior kill the ranger anyway?

ranger would die...really, really fast. lvl 10 hp is really low, and so is armor. in less then 3 warrior attack skills, the ranger would be dead.
BTW i couldnt see the build, some kind of error.

dunno what the error is, but it works fine for me... the build uses sprint, immolate, conjure flame, sever artery, gash, final thrust, glyph of lesser energy, and shields up. my friend claims that the r/w would be able to run away and protect itself using distracting shot, lightning reflexes, sprint, pin down, and troll ungent, and some other stuff...

Ups of W/R:

75% dodge/block that renders the opponent basically useless for a certain amount of time. Dryder's defense, lightning reflex, whirling defense, does wonders, but the only works if you are Ranger Primary.

If I were to pick one, I would suggest R/W or W/R especially since the opposing build in question makes no use of wards.

did you actually read this thread?

1. its a r/w not w/r.
2. the point is that the ranger is level ten, so the warrior would kill it no matter what, unless the ranger could use skills to escape from the warrior. this ranger doesnt even have dryder or whirling.
3. the whole point was not who would win but if the w/e could kill the r/w at all. obviously the warrior doesnt need wards for this.
4. clearly you are a ranger, because if the warrior was built to fight the ranger, it would have used an earth magic build including wards, and it would have skills like shields up in order to block projectile attacks.

I have a R/W that uses axe and expertise that's tanked any W/E I've met. Throw Dirt, Whirling Defense, LIghtning Reflexes??? Haha it'll take a loooong time for you to get enough adrenaline for anything. And Rangers have mad ele def if you want to start trying to cast offensive magic with your 2 regen pips.
