Reading the thread on warrirors in PvP and numerous threads on air elementalists I got to thinking - what is with the standing blasting at a target in the background while you have someone in yer face attacking you?

Even a vague reality check should tell people this is odd. So if warriors arn't getting the attention they deserve it could well be because of this amazing ability to ignore somone 5 feet away with cold steel pointed at your thoat. While it is unlikely we will ever see big changes here a skill for dealing with the problem would seem an answer of sorts - kudos to the person who suggest some sort of Taunt skill.

"In Yer Face"

- Warrior shout which makes your target switch targeting to you. If they stop targeting you during the duration of the shout they take an extra x-y damage each time you hit them.
------------------------------------

This would make it dangerous to ignore a warrior in your face. Defending warriors could use it as a counter for attacking warriors wanting to beat on their casters as they would have to switch to the defending warrior or risk being pummeled. It is also not absolute as you can choose to ignore it and the level of consequence for this can be tweaked for the purpose of play balence

Skills which deal grevious blows when attacking an opponent from behind would also force players to pay more attention to those up close.

Cheers

Instead of suggesting new skills, I would suggest you focus on new builds. I've already seen different competent warrior builds. Warriors don't always have to be W/Mo. The best warrior I've ever seen to date is what I liked to call a "STFU AND SIT DOWN" Warrior from the Rome Army. He was doing -134 dmg on my Ele on some hits and constantly knocking us down and owning us in general. Kinda hard to ignore someone 5 inches from your face when they interrupt your skills.

It pays to ignore a warrior hitting on you if your damage is better place somwhere else, especially if you have a monk backup.

Is this not realistic? Well guess what... calling down flames from the sky or ressurrecting people in a few seconds isn't realistic either.

If you are a sword fighter then stop complaining and switch to hammer or bring Savage Slash. I can pretty much heal through a sword warrior pounding on me myself alone with aura of restoration + elemental attunement + specified attuenement + spamming. But when they start interrupting me with knockdown or Savage Slash I begin to get in trouble.

Fact is ... if you are soloing an elementalist, chances are you are doing something wrong anyways. You should be with your party attacking the called target.
