Whats the best way to stop these nasty high DPS builds?

I've been to the HoH a few times only to get slaughtered by a 3 second death. Maybe using life bond or something to slow the speed of the damage, thus allowing a healer to react to the damage inflicted.

Rangers with studded leather + prot spirit. I really haven't ha a problem with competent healers.
