View Full Version : Balthasar's Spirit and Soothing Images

One thing I ran across today with my Warrior was a skill interference while I was in the Salt Flats.

My W/Mo is your standard Sword/Healing Paladin-esque character, but with a small twist. I run Mending and Balthasar's Spirit. I know, a lot of you will scream "What the hell are you doing? You have no more mana regen for anything!"... but I learned being a tank, you'll get smacked more than enough times to increase your mana regen like crazy.

Back to my original story, I was fighting the annoying Storm Kin and they cast Soothing Images on me. Here is where the dilemma comes in. Balthasar's Spirit gives you a strike of adrenaline in addition to energy for every time you're hit... but the exact wording on Soothing Images says you do not gain Adrenaline.

What do you people think? My Smiting Prayers aren't high enough to see any difference, I believe you start seeing a difference at smiting level 5-8...

Thanks ^_^

this probably belongs in the warrior forum but to reply to your post... I still don't understand why you are using balthazar's aura. i really hate mending as a skill but ill agree that it is usable in pve, but balthazars just seems like a waste. if you want fast adrenaline use battle rage, if you want fast energy use warriors endurance or bonnetis defense or just dont even cast balthazars and the energy regen will kick in...

*Shrugs* I was fooling around with skills yesterday, and thought I'd try something new, but as far as energy regen comes in, I gained about 20energy in the span of 1-3 seconds... and still use skills unlike Bonetti's Defense. *shrugs* the adrenaline was an added bonus I suppose, but imagine if Smiting was up a good bit, someone hits you and you can immediately hit them back with Galrath.

But I stray from the original question. Would Soothing Images negate the Adrenaline gain from Balthasar's Spirit?
