Please give more detail to us on how you did that with the following things:
1. Skills used.
2. Attribute points.
3. Armor set used, and what runes are on it.

Thanks.

EDIT* Actually I can name all this skills just by looking at the icons.

1. Bonneti's Defense. For 5-10 seconds, you have a 75% chance to block incoming melee attacks. You gain 5 energy for each successful parry. Bonetti's Defense ends if you use a skill. Req. Tactics.

2. Cyclone Axe. Perform a spinning axe attack striking for 4-10 more damage against all adjacent opponents. Req. Axe Mastery.

3. Vigorous Spirit. For 30 seconds, each time target ally attacks or casts a spell, that ally is healed for 1-11 points. Req. Healing Prayers.

4. Zealot's Fire. For 60 seconds, whenever you use a skill on an ally, all foes adjacent to your target are struck for 5-37 fire damage. Req. Smiting Prayers.

5. Healing Breeze. For 10 seconds, target ally gains health regeneration of 3-8. Req. Healing Prayers.

6. Healing Hands.{Elite} For 10 seconds, Healing Hands heals target ally for 5-21 points each time that ally suffers Physical damage. Req. Healing Prayers.

7. Live Vicariously. While you maintain this "Enchantment", whenever target ally hits a foe, you gain 1-11 health. Req. Healing Prayers.

8. Mending. While you maintain this "Enchantment", target ally gains health regeneration of +1-3. Req. Healing Prayers.

Yeah the amount was very impressive especially with the #s going all the way across the screen and the monsters just hanging back because they couldn't squeeze in

Nice Video but I can tell yall how that worked it out.

He gathers everyone up around it (cyclone axe hits em all' thus the massive damage showed on the screen)

While doing this, he had mending on for the constant healing. Then he casts Zealots Fire which gives dmg everytime you cast a spell on yourself. So basically with Healing Hands, Vigorous Spirit and Live Vicariously its like a Life Leech, everytime you hit you steal life, so with Cyclone axe and hitting ALL around you thus the mass health he was gaining.

Of course with Bonetti's defense the chance to block is greater so you dont get hit as much. So everytime a spell is on you, you deal 37 dmg to all the griffons and with cyclone axe you steal all that life (resulting in the mass dmg showing from just hitting all the griffon and all the health gained). Healing breeze just there to keep him alive.

So this is a common tactic used to kill mass amounts of enemies, but keep in mind the killing of griffon :happy05: griffons just do damage, now to impress me, I would like to see you kill a swarm of Hydra. (Because they cast Meteor to knock you down so its hard to get off all your skills). Now that would impress me, but none the less, well made video, thumbs up :happy14:

Thats was mainly used to regen his energy.

Yea you mean the perdition rock hydras,I just get near mass groups, and move to the side as they all cast there meteor storms, then just smite away with my Monk/Wa build. But yea,the Augury rock hydras have interupt meteor to,thus more of a challenge, and probably better items.Personally iv found 20-40 gold items off them alone.

Wow.. this is convincing me to switch to axe....

What are your atts? I'm sure you've got axe and healing all the way up, but what about your tactics and smiting?

Just a curious viewer, could healing hands be replaced by healing seed ? same thing basically .. just the casting time might be abit rough

If anyone could answer this .. it'd be much appreciated

Only problem is you cant cast healing seed on yourself. So you would need someone to tag along to cast that on ya.

After reading this post, several people were asking for attributes/runes etc..
Well, I cannot really give you guys his, but I will explain my build that I use.

Couple Advantages
-No need to get Healing Hands
-Lack of Healing Hands means you don't need to nearly beat the game missionwise.
-I don't use a couple of my skills :happy65:

The Build

Runes-Major Vigor, Major Absorbtion.. That's all

Healing Prayers - 10
Axe Mastery - 11
Tactics - 7
Strength* - 2(+1)

My skills are as following

Gladiator's Defense (E), Cyclone Axe, Bonetti's Defense, Endure Pain, Vigorous Spirit, Mending, Live Vicarously, Healing Signet

*Strength isn't required, I just have the points in it from usual fighting.

Basic Procedure

-Start off by casting Mending on yourself
-Wait till full energy then cast Live Vicarously
-By now you should have just 10 energy(or more with gladiators armor), Go follow the video on how he pulls the monsters.
-As soon as you have all of them, stop and cast Gladiator's Defense, then hit them all with Cyclone Axe
-After the Cyclone, hit Bonetti's to get some more energy
-After that cast Vigorous Spirit
-After that just continue doing cyclone whenever it comes back and spamming Bonetti's as much as possible, try to get Gladiator's and Vigorous's drop time the same, so you'll do Gladiator's.. refresh Vigorous and then continue.

P.S

Endure Pain is if you feel you are gonna die.. its basically you're safety button, and Healing Signet is virtually useless, I just always have it in 8th slot so I don't move it.

As for my armor. I just use 15k Gladiators with a Knight's Helmet.

Thats an entirely different build than his. I'm almost positive his build is BASED on zealots fire and constantly spamming healing skills. Oh yeah and COOL vid. :worship:

I posted my build there as an alternative to his, as Healing Hands is quite a stubborn elite to capture.

I have tried to work in Zealot's Fire, not working out the greatest but still very much possible.

To conclude this, I let people view my build as a guideline for making their own builds for the griffon runs or for something to work with. I just know I like a little variety :happy14:

anyone been able to reproduce this?

i decided to try, i got all the skills, somewhat decent weapons, memorized the sequence at when to hit things, and i still end up dead and everything has like 3/4 of the life bar left...

This is my setup, so maybe someone knows what i'm doing wrong...

i've tried both this griffon run setup and the one here (http://forums.gwonline.net/showthread.php?t=362592). neither have worked for me so far..

only runes i have are in the helm(minor vigor) and chest (minor tactics).

See my post a couple posts up ? That works for me, with a couple secret adjustments :happy34: I pull every darn griffon/minotaur in that whole area heh. Try it out, see if it works for you.

Also, where'd you get that collectors shield ? Been looking for it for ages

Synapse

I bought myself a full set of gladiator armor (except helm is Ascalon helm), and have been able to do the griffon run, but only with about 6 griffons and 4 or so of those bull things. I still take a lot of damage though, and don't know why.

the shield is from a collector that takes ancient eyes, inbetween "The Wild" and "Bloodstone Fen" (area is called Mamnoon Lagoon). The Collector is in the upper left corner of the Lagoon. Kill things called "Wind Riders" to get the Ancient Eyes.
