Hahahaha....I do that all the time with vids and screens. I try to see what skills they use and slap myself in the head....

....Nice work on that vid btw I've never done GvG...(you can't without one) but I'm pretty sure that's not how you win (For the other team that is) ... but maybe thy had some freaky wierd psyche-out strategy that didn't work...all of them...everytime...nevermind

Haha. I believe they just rushed their guild lord (the target to win GvG i guess? sorry, GvG noob here =P) silly.
Most guilds fight it out until they defeat the other team before getting the guild lord or something? I'm not sure...
Could someone tell me what usually happens? hehe

Kriegar

There are two possible winning situations achievable in GvG: kill the enemy Guild
Lord, or DP the other team to 60% each so they can't auto respawn. DPing another team out takes a great deal of time, even if you steamroll them, so killing the Guild Lord is a far more common situation.

I heard that when faction came out someone ran a guild lord ganking build that was designed to gank the guild lord immediately w/o opposition, but if the other team saw it coming, theyd just quit and try it again, could this be you guys?

Yeh these battles are always over pretty quick, either the guild lord is dead or the other team sees whats going on and pretty much wins right there, but you gotta go all out with that strat
i like your build for it, enough warriors to charge all the way to the lord and grenths balance x5

lmao, youd think someone like war machine would have known about ganking after they got ganked

Man that's just lame :( . They need to have all players dead and the guild lord imo.

Yes, that is us.
FYI - don't use more than 3 Grenth's Balances. :winking47

Could be wrong but one said War-America one said war-Korea so how could they know it was coming? of course maybe I am just to observant.

By the way how could they counter this? I mean most of the time you didn't even get within the other team's area of attack so they would literally either have to wait at their own guild for you or they would have to bring speed skills to beat you back to their own Guild Lord. Both would screw them over ,unless they specifically challenged you, agaisnt most teams.

Oh yeah get some balls and go face to face with em. The skills yal have would obviosuly be able to take one or two of them down so fast that they wouldn't know what hit them so why "humiliate" them in this? Just kind of a jackass way of thinking if you don't mind me saying :D.

They both say war-korea, the tactic is easy to beat honestly, we weren't even running chilblains so one monk with spellbreaker+healing seed = gg.

Okay, I'm slightly confused. How does this work? I saw one instance where the character upon whom the video is centered had over 800 health (Vital Blessing) but he cast two Grenth's Balances. Why? I thought that only did something if you were at low health.

against players, yes

against npc's, its a BIG life stealer/damage dealer because npc's have lots of life to begin with (glint for example)

I see. That makes a lot more sense. Thanks. Vital Blessing would help that out a lot then. But now I'm curious: how much health does a Guild Lord have and what skills is that team using to bring the health down after three Grenth's Balances?

TheGreatDivorce

He has approximately 2750 life.

Wow, I sure didn't know that. Thanks. :happy34:

So I just watched the video again and I'm still wondering how so much damage is being output. The character in the video uses Demonic Flesh to increase his maximum health by 176 and yet I see him Grenth's Balancing the Guild Lord for (what looks to be) around 250 damage. Sometimes he does it twice. How does this work? Shouldn't it only be 176 damage since that's how much health he is missing? And how does it work twice? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Grenth's Balance seems like an awesome spell but I don't think I completely understand how it works.

It should work that way but instead it takes the difference of eaches current and tries to balance them no matter what. The GL has a couple thousand health so when you use GB it takes off a ton.

Well that explains a lot. :)

Does anyone know the mechanics of how much it actually removes?

TheGreatDivorce

I can tell you that at 530 max health - no Demonic Touch or anything like that -, one Balance does either 430 or 450 damage to the Lord if I can remember correctly.

BipolarTemp

That's quite impressive. Thanks for the info. :)

(Guild Lord current hp) - (Your current hp) = Damage done
The maximum damage is determined by your max hp.

Isn't the damage = half of the health difference?

Kriegar

Yes, not sure why I left that part out when I typed it. Grenth's is also capped at 1000 damage maximum.

Heh, it just has to be modified a bit. Demonic Flesh + Vital Blessing + Awaken the Blood + Verata's Aura = about 40 health. Mark of Protection to keep yourself alive and then Grenth's Balance for 800 damage or so. *shrug* Worth a shot.

Or you can just use different skills and still kill a GL in under 8 seconds. It was never about Grenth's, 7 players can drop a 3k hp npc in no time. :p

Cool music and all.

I wondered about how come the consecutive victories was always at one - guess it doesn't work that regularily. Then I read the bit about how you guys are after quick faction and just disconnect if it doesn't work straight off. :( Nothing I can say about that that is printable.

I guess you have never GvG'd then. In GvG, it never counts consecutive wins.
