Can an experienced Mesmer confirm this?

Spirits of Failure.

I know the description says you gain energy when target misses, and says nothing about draining.

But from my personal experience, when i was war and ranger and i was under Spirit of Failure, i think i noticed being DRAINED of energy on every miss.

I want to know, for sure from experience and not from the skill description cause i can read it too but many are flawed or incomplete, if Spirits of Failure drains energy or not.

I doesn't drain energy. My Spirit of Failure drains 4 per miss for 30 seconds and I keep the warrior blind forever with Signet of Midnight. I'm gaining probably over 100 energy from this and I doubt a warrior will have 100 energy or regenerate energy that fast.

It does not drain.
Its merely using your target as a vehicle to produce energy per trigger.

The trigger being a missed attack.

Lol true, didn't think that if it drained your target would actually need the energy :) Ok, something else was likely draining me then, possibly the Mesmer that Spirit of Failure me was also playing Energy Denial on me and using Energy taps and the like to keep me down.

It causes the hexed player to lose energy every time they attack.
