Q: Does Windows Movie Maker auto compress the file when you save it? I just started tinkering with it and Fraps,

Windows Media Encoder does a much better job at compressing than DivX. DivX used to be the best format, but it has kinda lost it's pole position over the years. Just google and download Windows Media Encoder, it's free.
