I only saw part of death proof when it was playing at a party. it seemed pretty "out there" and not so much in a good way.

Lan cringes every time he sees a Wolverine preview. He's been convinced it looks terrible all along.

A good bit of time has passed since the z coins started being given out as rewards. After going out on some bounty runs, I looked up the coins in the official wiki and scoffed. To me, they seem a lot of work for something of little use, but I could be missing the point of them completely.

So my question is, "For what are you collecting Zaishen Coins?" :listen:

If you're not bothered by Deadpool being turned into a ripoff of Mortal Kombat's Baraka, among several other crazy changes to a number of characters, it shouldn't be a problem. Of course, I speak as someone who was seriously irritated when I found out they made Juggernaut just another mutant.

Can't really say the same for the blatantly obvious CG (even more blatant than the first X-Men, which is, ooh, going on 10 years old now?). Nobody likes sloppy special effects outside of a B-Movie. :sealed:

Oooh, good question, Dena.

Honestly? The coins are kind of a bonus. Because of the Zaishen signs, people are grouping like crazy lately.

The day of Divinity Coast, that mission outpost had two American districts. It's exciting to me to see so many older places coming to life.

I've grouped a lot lately with alliance people that I never usually get the opportunity to hang out with, and made a few new friends. The day Ilsunder was the boss bounty, Several of us from the GWO alliance grouped with people from the alliance of an old friend of mine. The group did a few VS runs afterwards - new people got to meet each other! They really hit it off well too.

It's given some good challenges too. Dzagonur Bastion is the bane of my existence in hard mode - I hate that mission. It frustrates the heck out of me. But last night? (Warning: brag ahead) Azra and I loaded up on sugar and a mysterious summoning stone, just to see how we would do. Ripped through it in under ten minutes - took down all but the monk boss in about ten seconds each. The monk boss took maybe 12 seconds. I had SO much fun, and we were both riding high from that the rest of the night, strutting around virtually high-fiving each other. Azra took a screen shot, but I forgot, so maybe he'll post it.

As far as ZCoin rewards? I'm after the big equipment bag. In the meantime I've gone for the light equipment pack to tide me over.
I like to have plenty of available inventory space when we do things, because I hate leaving stuff lying around in dungeons and whatnot. Because of that, I never carried around my extra weapons and headpieces, and got into a bad situation sometimes when I forgot to swap them out. Now Ari's got all of her headpieces and most of her weapons on hand with those 10 equipment slots. Lyra has a 10 slot equipment bag too, with all of her extra headpieces and her 600 armor.

Eventually I'll get Ari the 20 slot bag and carry around some extra armor sets. Those are well worth it to me, because they freed up an entire storage tab for me. I have more virtual money to throw around than I do real money, so it was a nice substitute for buying another storage tab.

Whew. I talk too much! (Oh! And after I have all the equipment packs I want? Creme Brulee!!)

Ack. Just checked my screenshot folder, and nothing from Dz. Not even the little green reward text. I was going to take a screen shot just as we finished, but the Elementalist bossed died before I could.

Dz is pure hell, but we made it look easy. The key seems to be having . . .redrock candy and Asura scan!. . no wait. Key seems to be the ability to split into two groups, mop up the little groups, and then quickly regroup to kill a boss. We did extremely well with two MMs, two SS and monk & rit healers. I'd flag my MM around to sorta slow down patrols, and it worked very well. Being able to kill the bosses so quick kept us from getting overwhelmed too. So yay for that.

We got a Grench off the summoning stone, but I'm not sure I ever saw it after the portal. Another goat would've been perfect.

Last night while at Gate of Madness, someone had the gall to imply Dena Deathbringer dresses slutty. Really? Dena is 21 and still as pure as the driven snow and as wholesome as American apple pie. I'm sure it was just jealousy that caused the comment as the one who said it had her thunder thighs and belly stretch marks hidden under tons of cloth. :smug:

I'd try to explain, but class really can't be taught. Sorry Dena, there's no help for you.

Funnily enough, although Mesmer is my main these days, my very first character in prophecies (and the first one I beat the lich with) was an Elementalist. She and her many sets of scanty 15k armor have long since been deleted back in the days before you could buy character slots. The elementalist I have now was born much later and well into my long love affair with the mesmer class. Her armor choice reflects my later maturity and refinement.

Dena and I had an experience that made me laugh last night. We were hanging out in Elona Reach waiting for Azra, both on our ele characters. An assassin mapped in, approached us and said something like "Hello lovely ladies." I bowed, and Dena said "Let's give him a show", and started dancing. I joined in. He /ranked us with a Phoenix, which I thought was seriously cool. Congratulated his accomplishment and asked to see it again. He complied, and danced with us for a moment.

Out of nowhere, another player mapped in, teamed up with our new friend, called Dena and I hoes, and mapped out, taking Mr. Phoenix.

Whoops, someone's girlfriend showed up.

If the weather is good, i wont be much online saturday, realy need to work on my car then. Detailing ftw!

I remember when I was young and in love with my Dodge muscle car - 360 cid, six-pack (3 Holley's on aluminum high-rise manifold), 3/4 race cam, B&M transpack, headers with Chrysler H-pipe, L-50 Mickey Thompsens on American Racing mags. Spending hours fine tuning the carbs and getting compliments on the look and sound of the car. Doing brake stands downtown on Friday and Saturday nights. Ahhhhh...

On a randomer note? I have paint in my hair. My kid is getting braces RIGHTNOW, and I'm anxious for her and Kev to stop by and show them off after they're done. I'm supposed to print a newsletter and the Sunday bulletin today at work. The bulletin is unfinished because people have not gotten all of the information to me that I need. The newsletter is not printing because the editors haven't emailed it to me. I'm annoyed.

Heh. He does not. Seriously, though, that is the problem. There's just not a ton left for me to do, because they have parcelled out large parts of my job to volunteers. So it's frustrating on both ends: the worry that they're going to finish doling out my job responsibilities to free labor and let me go, and the frustration of sitting here with nothing to do.

The volunteers don't seem to be doing their tasks, though. I wonder where that will lead us?

Today is a company non-traditional holiday. I am working to provide coverage for the corporate treasury systems since the banks are open. I am sitting at my desk in jean cut-offs and a Dairy Zone T-shirt. I am bored. I am listening to XM radio and looking at my new wireless phone's guide. At least in 10 minutes I'll go to Dairy Zone for a malt and beef burger. Then back to being bored while waiting for the end of the day. And that could be a problem, too, as treasury might call it a day at 2:00 PM. That would be fine, but the pizzeria I go to on Friday's doesn't open until 4:30 PM. I don't know what to do during that time. It would be silly to try go home and then head clear across town for pizza when I am currently at the half-way point. And I don't dare install GW on my work laptop. And no one is busy in these forums. Did I mention I'm bored?

I guess with around 14,000 employees in my company, it's a little harder to be watched all the time. They block inappropriate sites, but otherwise, if a manager wants to snoop on your email or Internet activity, it requires the manager to make a very good case to corp security as to why you should be watched.

And when a female EE complained to my leader that I and the other guys would take up to two hours for lunch on certain summer days, she was told that it was no problem since we were salaried and getting our work done on time.

Pondering a new game system, but having a hard time deciding. Price is a factor, so waiting to see if Sony cuts the PS3 price with the next Madden.

360 hasn't got any exclusives I crave, but they are cheaper. Wii has a lot of quirky fun stuff, (yay Harvest Moon), but nothing like Metal Gear, KoF XII or SCIV. -- Still the way stuff like Disgaea3 charges for DLC is a bit of a turn off too.

How to attempt to save a cactus...

I have a certain cactus that, for all of its life, has tried to grow sideways instead of straight up. I've replanted it twice over the past 4 years to try to help it straighten up, but it's been persistent in its horizontal journey.

What it used to look like. (Sorry for the lack of a better picture, it was the best and most recent I could find).

This morning I found that it had broken off, due to some rotting and the sheer weight of the "top".

Due to their hearty nature, most cactus can just be sawed off and replanted in new dirt, where they will take root and save themselves.

I've heard that there was something new coming out, but once I found out that the voice actor for Megabyte was dead, and that they're not directly concluding the cliffhanger, I'm iffy on it all.

And yes, Grown up Enzo didn't age as well nostalgia wise, but I happened to be at the target audience age the first time through, so it's a general fondness. Also, I can deal with Matrix-Enzo in exchange for bringing back Captain Capacitor.

I was quite excited about that and figured my wife ordered it. She came out soon afterwards and was upset that it had arrived. She ordered it Wednesday and was told to expect 5 to 7 days shipping. It was to have been a surprise Christmas gift. I tried to cheer her up that is was still a very big surprise.

How tough can it be to find an area? I can't believe I couldn't find anyone for City of Taco or something like that last night. I went to Chantry ID1, Ari had to tell me to kneel before the statue. I ended up in Anguish something-or-another ID1, saw no one from TRUE, saw Taco City and went there only to find it was an explorable area, so I quit. /rageQuit :embarassed:

Is that really such a shock? I think my favorite show on XM radio is A State of Trance and my wife and I decided to rent some of his DVD's since we figure that will be the only way we ever get to see him. He had the singers in his show and that was nice to see the voices for once and put a face to the singing.

I also like TIËSTO (Tijs Michiel Verwest) and hi Club Life show, Solaris International by Solarstone, Trance Around The World with Above & Beyond, and Lost World by George Acosta.

I get the podcasts and listen during the day while at work, too.

Well, another trip to the ER this morning for chest pain. It came on last night which was why I didn't play and so far might not be on tonight as I have been awake since 1:30 AM in pain. I asked a question and indeed the ER doctor thinks I have a hiatal hernia. Plus my blood pressure has continued to stay high - it averaged 160/105 during the 3+ hours at the ER. So two prescriptions and a follow-up appointment with my doctor on Monday which is when he'll get an appointment with a specialist to scope out the stomach. It's been a nasty evening, night and day.

Cute looking ele who won a major award for best looking outfit would like to enjoy killing monsters with someone. Specifically, I am wanting to slaughter everything I come into contact with in Stingray Strand and Tears of the Fallen hard mode. I have been getting whipped by the fire imps in Stingray for some time. That or anyone who has done that vanquish with an ele and H/H that can share a working build for the vq would be appreciated.

Did you get your vanquishes?

If you really want to do them H/h, standard sabway probably works well enough, throw in Alesia and Claude or Dunham. But since the fire imps are the problem, you could go water for Ward vs Harm &/or Maelstrom. Or even go /Mesmer on yourself and heroes for Elemental Resistance (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Elemental_Resistance) since there is little drawback on a caster (Unless you're using shield/+armor). I've used it recently, and the +40 armor really makes a difference in places like Hell's Precipice.

Anyway, with Wintersfarm over, I'm up for grouping for more stuff. But it seems like the holidays has worn everyone out.

No, I didn't get those two, but did finish off the desert which made me happy. I'll give that sabway a try, and if worse comes to worse, I can wait for those. Shoot, I have around 20 other areas to do including all of the southern Shiverpeaks. I am not looking forward to those areas. I thought they were nasty in NM when I mapped them. Of course, that was done without consumables which would have made it easier.

I try to say Hi and Bye when I log on andleave and when some1 logs on.

But lately I have been online but with status away. Had to do lots of stuff for xmas and new year dinner so. And with my mom being sick for 3 months now I'm on/off alot...

I don't recall you ever mentioning your mother being sick. Three months? I hope it is not serious and she is well again soon.

Don't complain to me about double posting. 10 days passed and I must be the only one willing to write about my exploits.

Last night, Yoshi and I vanquished Ice Floe. Man, that one is one nasty area. Some of the mobs are huge with two monks. Luckily, we were able to circle around two of the really big groups and come at them from a wider area which allowed us to rush in and kill a monk, then return for the other monk. BA said that was one of the worst areas. I hope so. I have all of the Shiverpeaks south from Beacon's and then the Ascalon area left. 34/54. Seems it'll never get completed. Oh, as a side note, Yoshi never had Grotto on his map, so he got that, too.

Okay, I'll try, Tom. I had a Baby Ruth candy bar a few days ago and on its wrapper it proudly announced in big bold letters that it contained 4 grams of protein. It didn't bother to mention in the same font that it contained 210 calories, around 21% RDA of fat, 28% saturated fat, around 13% salt RDA, and absolutely nothing nutritious, but it did have that little amount of protein which makes up very little % of RDA.

Mraezk
16-01-2010, 17:23
Doesn't matter where you start them in Ascalon, since they're all 4/4 parties. You could start from Yak's, but that is only 6/6. The walk from Yak's isn't worth it unless you have 2 people, the henchman alone aren't worth walking through that Uplands zone (unless your vanquishing it).

I'm not so fond of candy bars any more. For the calories in one, I can get a hamburger or a salad, I think.

We bought a Sleep-By-Number bed from Select Comfort Wednesday. After two nights sleep, I can say it has been the best bed I ever bought. It has a wireless control so the firmness can be adjusted at any time. I haven't had such comfortable sleeps in years. My wife likes it, too. Wish I could go home and get under the covers right now.

Opaque Notions Of You

THE SOUND
It feels so good when you're around,
I can reach out and touch the sound
Of the rhythm of your heart.

Your smiles like raindrops falling,
Soothing the soul and calling
To the rhythm of my heart.

The sweetness of your voice
Gives my ears just one choice:
Hearing the rythm of your heart.

SOUND CHASER
The beauty of your self,
A priceless piece of wealth.
Damn, I wish it were mine!

What causes me to feel this way,
Wish I knew, I can only say,
"Must be you."

I think of you all the time,
A thought going through my mind,
Set to the rhythm of your heart.

And it causes me to say this:
"With you is heavenly bliss,
Be mine is my only wish."

CONFUSION
Sometimes it seems very right,
Sometimes it seems very wrong,
Please add a little sunlight,
It will end this silly song
Of "What shall I do?"

I hope it's right, I really do,
All I want is to be with you,
It'll make my dreams come true.

THE DREAM
For I see you in my dreams,
You and I - we are the themes,
Set to music -
Music from our hearts.

================================================== =
Eternity
Standing round recall the time
When our lives were like a rhyme.
Everything was in harmony,
Everything was for you and me,
And during that moment of peace
I thought the rest of time would cease.

Yesterday, I found out that Arli$$ has never been released on DvD. The closest they've come to releasing a Season Set is a "Best of" dvd. Bleh.

I had the good fortune of watching HBO a lot in the late 90s. The shows they featured felt different than the stuff the networks were releasing. Then 'The Sopranos' (which I liked!) and 'Sex & the city' (which confused me!) took off, and suddenly HBO started seeming like just another network (that was costing an extra $14.50 a month). I think they even had a sit-com with a laugh track there at the end. Oh well. But it is still about the only thing I miss from cable-TV.

I remember not doing well competitively online in SC, but I feel like I did pretty good in WC3. We'll see. 4v4 has always been my favorite (that way the blame isn't mine alone!).

I'm a sucker for Blizzard's big three though (Diablo, SC, and WC (not so much WoW, but real WC). I'd love to see a Starcraft vs. Warcraft game one day.
