Zero, bake me a chocolate cake and make sure to be generous with the icing...
...wait, no. Make me an ICING CAKE! OMG I've always wanted one :awe:
And and and and, to start, some Kraft Dinner, but, I have a special request. After you're all done getting it ready, open a can of cream of mushroom soup and pour half of the condensed soup onto the kraft dinner and mix. Super super super yummy.
If you like it really creamy, use the whole can
Now I'm hungry and it's lunchtime for me. :cutie:
it's 6:30pm and I've just had breakfast.... Snow It's been ages since I've baked a cake but I'm up for making some. Actually it's been ages since I had cake...and they are expensive to buy...thats it...I'm makign a cake sometime this week...

Well I do have the ice cream in teh fridge...Artic roll is pretty hard to do though...(ice cream centre, then jam, then cake mix) As the cake mix usually breaks during the roll or the ice-cream isnt in the right shape :p...I so need to go get some stuff and make a cake...

How do you keep the ice cream from melting when you put the cake mix in the oven? Is it like a thermos thingy or something you got there?
Ahem... Chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream
*sigh* you bake the "wrap" flat, then smear the jam onto it, them wrap it around the ice-cream (you'll want a long full cylinder of ice-cream so you can cut the thing and don't end up with a fist of mix and a little bit of ice cream in the middle...). But that stuff takes way too much effort. I'm going to get a chocolate cake done I think, or maybe an Icing cake...

Hey Zero, since you appear to be in a baking mood would it be possible for you to bake me a birthday cake? My birthday is next month so there is no rush or hurry. All of this talk about food is really getting me hungry as well. I gotta go and stuff my face for a while and get back in the game. See yall there!!!!!
I'd gladly bake one if 1) I had the stuff with me 2) had your address 3) knew how much it'd cost to send and 4) knew it could be sent without being destroyed or going off :/

Those are some very good reasons. The only real problems I see is the cost and the probability that it would be able to arrive intact. Oh well. NVM. Maybe we could figure out something else? We still have plenty of time left....I guess.

Zero, Pie>Cake. Simple as that.
Now that all depends on where you come from and your own taste. I'd much rather have cake over a pie. And seeing as I'm the one doing the baking I shall be the one that decides whats baked :p

Cake is better.
As much as I love a pie with meringue on it, cake is always going to whip my cream, float my boat, tickle my pickle and yank my chain.
isn't yanking someones chain fooling them or joking with them....interesting acronym to use snow...
Anyway, cake it is *yum :) *

He's Conservative and the Liberals have been in charge for more than a decade but think of Harper as the "strict religous parent type". But it's a minority government so he doesn't have complete control to do what ever he wants.

I advise against it. Having played both CoH and CoV I can tell you its fun in the beginning but it gets very repetative very quickly. I enjoyed both greatly at first but within a few weeks of playing them, I lost interest because its just the same thing over and over again. Granted its cool to be a super hero/villain, and the character creator is the best ever, there wasnt enough variety to keep my interest for long.

You can't knock it til you've actually tried it Mord. For people that have a lot of free time, WoW is a great game. I enjoyed it when I played it. That is a [ TRUE ] statement. And on that note, I recently had a 10-day free trial of SWG. The graphics are pretty nice and the interface is okay but it really doesn't seem to be all that fun to me. The character creation is somewhat limited (not quite as robust as the one in GW) and many of the different options look very similar to each other. The only good thing about it is that you have more races to choose from. I still have a couple of days left on that free trial but I think I will be deleting it from my hard drive later on today. I am also a big Star Wars Fanatic but I was highly disappointed with that game. Like what was said earlier, "I wouldn't play it if it was free!"

A long time ago, way back in history,
when all there was to drink was nothin but cups of tea.
Along came a man by the name of Charlie Mops,
and he invented a wonderful drink and he made it out of hops.
He must have been an admiral a sultan or a king,
and to his praises we shall always sing.
Look what he has done for us he's filled us up with cheer!
Lord bless Charlie Mops, the man who invented beer beer beer
tiddly beer beer beer.
The Curtis bar, the James' Pub, the Hole in the Wall as well
one thing you can be sure of, its Charlie's beer they sell
so all ye lads a lasses at eleven O'clock ye stop
for five short seconds, remember Charlie Mops 1 2 3 4 5
He must have been an admiral a sultan or a king,
and to his praises we shall always sing.
Look what he has done for us he's filled us up with cheer!
Lord bless Charlie Mops, the man who invented beer beer beer
tiddly beer beer beer.
A barrel of malt, a bushel of hops, you stir it around with a stick,
the kind of lubrication to make your engine tick.
40 pints of wallop a day will keep away the quacks.
Its only eight pence hapenny and one and six in tax, 1 2 3 4 5
He must have been an admiral a sultan or a king,
and to his praises we shall always sing.
Look what he has done for us he's filled us up with cheer!
Lord bless Charlie Mops, the man who invented beer beer beer
tiddly beer beer beer.
The Lord bless Charlie Mops!

That isn't all that bad. After I loaded up the free trial of Star Wars Galaxies and logged on I couldn't even get into the game. I had to wait for all of the updates. TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATER ON A BROADBAND CONNECTION, I was finally able to start playing the game. I almost gave up on it right then (when I really should have but I am a glutton for punishment). It really wasn't worth the wait.....:embarassed:

Well, I have to say, the character creation on CoH is pretty dank. After the fifty-eight minutes of downlading and then sparring with Norton, I was finally able to get started. It took me about a half-hour to actually create a character and then about another half-hour to remap all the keys and mouse buttons to what I like to refer to as "The Guild Wars Standard". I hate not being able to click to move. Then I played for a bit. Around 1:30am I realized I had to go to work in about four hours so I slept.
Anyway, I think the game overall is pretty decent. I can see how it might get repetitive after awhile but for the time being I'm enjoying it. I do think there is way too much stuff on the screen as far as UI goes. And there are way too many chat channels. I was trying to ask a question for about twenty-five minutes and wondered why everyone was pretty much ignoring me only to realize that I was chatting in the Coalition channel, whatever a Coalition is. Maybe I should visit their website?

See? You are ALREADY trying to find ways to play it around the clock just like you do with GW!!! You are now hopelessly hooked until the missions become too tedious, the grind becomes too much or until your GF forces you to stop. Any bets on which one will happen first?

Battle for Middle Earth 2 will be a HUGE time sink for me when it comes out. I absolutely loved the first one and this one looks great as well. Naval battles, 3 new playable races ( Dwarves, Elves & Goblins), expandable castles. Can't wait.

30 Gb drive?!? Wow! I am beginning to run into some storage issues as well. I've got an 80 Gb drive partitioned into 4 separate drives(2 smaller ones for the operating system and general media[family pics, music, other things of that sort] and the other two are for different types of games[one for simulation games{SimCity4, Episode 1:Racer, NFS:Underground} and one for RPG's {Guild Wars, Morrowind, The Bard's Tale}]) All of them ( the four different drives ) are almost completely full. I am seriously in need of a hard drive upgrade. Most likely the next drive I will be getting will be a 160Gb or a 250Gb SATA drive. I have been looking at some at NewEgg and they have a few to choose from that are currently less than $100. Now all I gotta do is find a way to come up with the cash....
March is also the rumored date for Oblivion's release too... I think I should quit my job and just play games for a living!
Now THAT is the recurring dream that I have been having quite often. If only I could find a way of turning that into my job then I will be set for the rest of my life!!!!!
30 Gb drive?!? Wow! I am beginning to run into some storage issues as well.
That's a problem I eliminated 9 months ago by investing in a 250GB SATA disc.
Got it hooked up through a SCSI array controller (don't ask, funky motherboard).
Nowadays larger discs aren't that expensive anymore. And they're worth every penny of cash you invest in them.
I think I should quit my job and just play games for a living!
Aren't we all interested in something like that? How I envy the writers of big known gaming mags, always getting prereleases of everything, gaming all day long.

Big-ish post!
I did not play either of the new professions during the PvP weekend. I only just logged in to see the new character creation/character screens. I started to create one of the assassin prebuilds, but I got distracted by something else.
As for WoW, I don't think it requires as much time as people think. Sure, it is if you absolutely feel the need to get epic items, a high level, blah blah blah. Otherwise, as long as you know some people for the harder stuff, it's not too bad. I understand some people get bored by it, but I absolutely love it right now.
I did not see Underworld: Evolutions yet, but I'm going to try and convince my boyfriend to go with me this weekend. In fact, it's what I want to do tomorrow, but we'll see. I loved the first one :cutie:
Anyway, back to the grind. And I mean school :P

Pierce Brosnan, Greg Kinear and Hope Davis. It's about a hitman (Brosnan) that begins to have issues with killing people. Comedic misadventure ensues.

My thoughts exactly! I think that I will also go out to see the Matador as well. I also remember that movie better now. I liked the commercials for it and I still say that Pierce Brosnan was the second best James Bond 007 with Sean Connery being the first!!!
The story was poor, the graphics weren't all to impressive and I can't be bothered to waste energy thinking of more sucky things about it...I'm yet t osee any previews of Matador, but PBand SC were certainly the better bonds.
Mordakai Slivermoon
26-01-2006, 20:11
One of the things that I liked so much about Pierce's Bond is that his character the way he played it didn't seem like he was trying to act as Bond. He really was Bond and in my opinion his performance just came off better than any of the other ones except for SC.
This is starting to sound like a PB/SC fan club lol Quick, to another subject before they find the posters! lol

While we're griping about work, let me add mine here just so I can feel better about life. I wake up at the equivalent of 3:45 am central time, to catch a flight from Charlottesville to Atlanta, run through Atlanta airport to barely make my connecting flight in order to get back into Dallas.
And instead of taking the afternoon easy and working from home as I had intended, I have to come in to the office because my manager (who is out recruiting today, just like I was yesterday) decided that an important meeting just simply couldn't wait till Monday so he scheduled a meeting for me (poor little sleep deprived me) to brief a senior manager and a vice president on what we've been up to.... *sigh*
Meeting's in 45 minutes... guess I should start preparing for it....

We got bored in guild wars tonight so we decided to make a guild wars music video to Gunther's song "Pleasureman", starring Silly Osoddus, Erias Syrana, Dratheus Kalenes, and a bunch of random "unwilling" people in town. I thought it was pretty good for his first music video, so I hope you all like it. Enjoy!! Well you're really asking two questions there. The first one takes me back to 1934. Admiral Byrd had just reached the pole, only hours ahead of the Three Stooges...and I guess he won the argument, but I walked away with the turnips. And occasionally, he parties with the desert animals.(Kung Pow ftw) I think in about a year and a half he's racked up around 30,000+ Mariot hotel/inn/place-you-stay-at-when-you're-traveling Points. He usually drives, but sometimes he drives? You mean he usually flies?!? Sorry, gotta give you a hard time. Well, if I became a systems analyst, one of my professors who was one at some point, said that they are only at home during the weekend, and travelling all week or something, ie no home life, so that would be oh so fun. My dad used to travel alot during his early years at IBM, but when he changed divisions, that stopped. I dunno what I'd want to do yet, by travelling you get to see alot of places, but it would get pretty strenous I bet.

Being away from home is hard, but you kind of get into a pattern and after awhile, even though it's no fun, you get used to it.
However, there are some perks to an all-expense paid travelling lifestyle, including room service and laundry service. After travelling weekly for about 9 months, I actually forgot what it was like to cook my own meals, clean my own room and do my own laundry. Of course my husband was holding down the fort while I was travelling.
The good news is that I'm actually staffed locally for the next few months (i.e. very limited travel, and only in the event of recruiting, seminars, or in the rare events, a visit to the client's site).

I bought my gf new headphones for the iPod I got her last year. Not because of the fear of getting mugged but cause she doesn't like the small ones that go inside the ear.

Back when I was traveling to California quite a bit for work, I racked up 150,000 in a little under two years. I think I still have about 90,000 left. Time to go book a trip!

Speaking of travelling, I finally have enough points to take a flight anywhere in NA. I would prefer 'Roo-land, but don't think I'll ever get enough $ or points. My last trip was in 2000 to a NASCAR race in New Hampshire.
So I have to pay off my abused credit card, then plan a trip somewhere (thinking LA, cause it's far away, opposite coast, nice weather, and I can take tours).
My co-worker moonlights as a travel agent, so I get helpful advice.
I've never actually flown alone before. Always with my Regiment or (now ex-)gf. I've driven alone plenty, though I'm not up for 6610km, 2+days of straight driving.
Why can't you guys all live in the same place?

Edited to add that I'm blaming the writer's block on all the guest stars in the fanfic. I have trouble killing off characters that aren't my own, but it's completely unrealistic to expect that all the guest stars would all survive the fight unscathed. So, now that I've come to terms with the fact that people must die, expect to see your characters get killed.... *wicked, maniacal laughter*

Well, since Erias is beyond leet (past 1337 deaths), then goodbye Erias, time to die. Seriously though, its only fitting to put an end to her, seeing I have the most deaths in guild on one character. Across players, no, cause thats not fair, I only have 1 account. As for the 2nd person, it'd have to be Zef, cause his char has the 2nd most single character deaths, and like he said, he's almost perfect! XD

I don't blame that wurm for just standing there and mooing at you all. I mean, think about it.....while it was just standing around mooing at you all and not attacking you, you were just standing there watching it. I'm sure that it knew that it didn't have much time left in the world of Tyria so as long as it could keep you all interested in it's antics, you all weren't attacking it and thus it's life would continue to go on. Only problem with that is that when you get bored of watching it moo at you then it would be time for it to die. It was probably hoping that some of it's "friends" would come along and help out a little but I guess that didn't happen either.....

Yes, my grades last semester wern't as good I wanted, I got a 94.6% in Math. I haven't gotten a B in a class since 6th grade. I was on Yale's mailing list and recieved several invitations to campus etc. I didn't apply though, so I honestly can't say if I WOULD have gotten in, since it's never a sure thing.
Trying to count up the hours of community service I have. . . .6-7 hours a week at a senior center for 3 years was about 990 credited, smaller service projects amount to a small 100ish hours, and then my Eagle project which was 136 hours. So like 1226 hours during highschool, which could be better, but is ok service wise.
I decided it would have stung to get rejected, but it would have been even worse to get in and not be able to pay for it. So, I'm getting more involved in service/community outreach programs during my senior year and then will continue to build my resume', hoping to go to Yale for graduate school after I go to BYU for a BS, hopefully tuition paid by the school. I'll be retaking the SAT this spring to ensure my ability to get aid.
Wow, I didn't mean for that be to soooo long, sorry.

Dude, when did you enjoy yourself during high school? There really is no need to complete so many service hours in order to get into a good college. Now I can understand if you just enjoy doing it... but honestly. I would hope you have found time for extra cirricular activites that interest you, seeing as to how thats what most colleges are concerned with, not so much community service.
And may I ask why so infatuated with ivy league schools? Really all you are paying for is the reputation of the school; you can get the same quality education elsewhere. And I'm happy to report that to this day I use the application Harvard sent me as a coaster. Boo schools full of suicidal, competitive monkeys.

Sorry if this all sounds rude, but seriously man, try to cheer up some. Plenty of people that don't goto Yale or another Ivy League college get very far in life. One example I'll use is my sister, shes at Ohio State University Medical School and doing extremely well for herself....she didn't need to goto Yale or Harvard to get where she is today. She lives a very good life and she is very smart, comes natural to her. Yes, my grades last semester wern't as good I wanted, I got a 94.6% in Math.
I usually, um... adjust my goals. I got my undergrad degree from Johns Hopkins university - an academically tough school. In my first quarter, I swore to myself "Nothing lower than an A."
Then I got an A-. Oh well, next semester, I swore, "Nothing lower than an A-", then of course I got a B+. Then I said, "Nothing lower than a B+", and then guess what I got. My expectations inched down, "Nothing lower than a B" (of course that semester I got a B-) and finally I said, "Nothing lower than a B-"
Good thing that stuck.... I never got anything lower than a B- in college.
Having said that, I would probably have gotten more sleep in the first few semesters if I'd just set realistic goals from this start....
So, I got smarter about setting goals. When I got my MBA, I said "Nothing lower than a B-" and I'm happy to announce that I accomplished my goal without having to readjust the terms of my goal!

You make it sound like cookies are the worst thing ever...
Cookies pwn cake for portability. You can put some cookies in a bag and carry them around to snack on all day long. Who's ever heard of a bag of cake?
Actually I have. My Aunt makes some of the best cakes that I have ever tasted in my life and they are slightly dangerous because once you get a taste of one of them, ya don't want to stop eating them. It just so happens that they are the perfect size to fit into one of those largish ziplok bags to keep them soft and moist for a while(although they never seem to last very long whenever I am around). Perfectly snackable and portable. :cloud9:

I know someone who got 1600 on the old SAT, but their GPA was deplorable.Yale and ivy schools want more then perfect grades. You need service hours, involvement, etc. to push you over the edge *Curses at money situation*
Ah well, there's always Yale's grad school, hopefully I'll have the money then.
TRUE.
A college entrance administration board will look at grades, ACT/SAT scores, extracurricular activity. In some cases, who sponsored you.
The board will determine whether you as the applicant and the college would be mutually beneficial to each other.
A Perfect SAT score is a good indicator of admittance into an educational institution but not a true deciding factor. There have been many individuals that have TESTED well but done poorly overall.
The board will also interview people to determine character, sensitivity, "fit", and for a few if the person has some actual common education sense or is just book smarts.
An Ivy is incredibly good, not necessarily for the education it gives you, but for the contacts that you obtain that hopefully will stay with you for life. The level of contact you receive is of a level significantly different in an Ivy, than that you would recieve in Standard level State school (NO disparagement towards Ohio State, Florida State or any other major sports school. The contact levels you receive in a major sports school is different than those you receive in a major educational institution. ie UCLA Trojans vs MIT Beavers (YES MIT has a Division III Football team. No. They only play the surrounding schools.) Plus who would you rather make contact with? Warren Buffet or a Middle Manager who went to your school?
This is not to say that you MUST go to an Ivy to make something of yourself. Take my example of Warren Buffet. His collegiate career is not something to speak much of, but he perservered and is currently the steady Richest Man in the world.
With regards to RL, what you learn in school is not always something you will use in RL. Unless you get a grant and get to do RL work for educational credits. But that has issues all its own.

If you are smart enough to get into Yale, you are smart enough to apply for a loan program. Why don't you do that? Sure you'll get in debt up to your eyeballs the first couple of years out of college, but once you graduate you'll get a job very quickly.

Oh don't get me wrong. I keep getting told off by peopel as I've been living on Cookies and ice cream. So i decided to start throwing some variety of cakes in there as well. All were happy as all were allowed to eat them. However Now I can't make them...untill I go shopping...so the "stop eating cookies and ice cream!" are going to resume :p

Oh dear Mousey, glad you caugh yourself before you went off in a wild tangent. Man, tonight in SF was funny...between you, kae and demi ganging up on me, great fun. And for once, I was talking back! You should of seen Galrath though.....man, demi, okami and smite were flinging them at me. I shrugged them off though, they are nothing. It was probably one of the most fun villany runs I have ever had though, thanks guys!

That villany run was a little... crazy, especially when it came down to the time when Baldur's monk and my level 14 IW mesmer were taking out one Verata at a time as they came charging towards us. I adore the fact that the Sages of Verata spam distortion. It doesn't do anything against an IW mesmer since I'm already missing anyway (and dealing 31 chaos damage everytime I miss...) =P But while they were spamming distortion, it meant that they didn't have energy to do anything much more damaging to me.
Ye flippin' gods, get your minds out of the gutter...
The gutter can be so much fun though! And sometimes you find money in them!

You got a point there, but all those remarks make it hard for me to keep a straight face when I'm browsing through the forum while I should be working.

Do enemies even have a limited supply of energy? It seems like half the time they are able to spam a crapload of spells over and over again. It feels like they have infinite energy.

Uhhhh, the thoughts of Demi ganging upon me in your sense is just uhhh yea *mind wrack*. But now Kae and Mousey, thats a different story, oooo lala!!! *wants to say part of a gunther song now, but refrains from it*

they dont have infinite energy, but they do have an insane amount of regen so it just seems like they never run out.

Ahh ok, that would explain why ice imps can spam ice spear as much as Dratheus can and not run outta energy.

Auto-adjust?
And check the settings. Incorrect configured LCD/TFT screens tend to get blurry.

Check the fonts settings. There's something we have to do for LCD monitors, I can't remember.
Anyway, always fun to get new material for work. What size LCD is it by the way?
Which reminds me, gotta start looking around for a new laptop. Expense-budget was ok-ed, so let the spending begin...

Yeah, I just got the go-ahead to build another new PC for the dealership. So what if the Service Department doesn't need a 128MB Radeon 9800SE? It might come with a free game that I haven't played yet! Of course they need high performance RAM! DVD-RW? Why not?
Spending money on stuff is fun.
Besides, if you saw the monthly invoices on how much we spend to rent three of the PCs that run the parts catalogs you'd cry. Especially if you saw their specs. Thank the heavens the service director realized that I know what I'm doing. I've saved them boat-loads of money by building the last two.

Maybe when they realize how much money you have saved them they will give you a raise!!!

Untill then, I just download stuff using the company's bandwidth, and browse the forums while I should be working
