Sent Items permanently unchecked?

Is there a way to have this option in the private messages "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder." permanently unchecked? Or am I forever doomed as a result my forgetfulness? :(

There isnt an option now, though I would like one as well. I dont think there is a setting for it, though :(
