the first skill imho that you should unlock is repeating strikes.

was doing 55 dmg( on another a/w) with it today and kept spamming it on ppl, it works really nice, especially since ppl arent prepared to take so many hits of that dmg in such a short while.

"Heart of Shadows"

Enhantment spell. For 60 seconds, the next time you take damage you are healed for 47 Health and Shadow Step to a random nearby location. (Attrib: Shadow Arts)

For 5 energy, casting time of 1 and recharge time of 15 I will have my monk running this non-stop (depending on the delay that is caused by Shadow Step).

Can you take the asassin/ritualist secondary in the PvP weekend?

Edit: Seems like I read the header of this thread wrong, this is about A/W 's, excuse for that.

Yes you can take A/Rt as secondry on any pvp character. Also nice thinking on that Heart of Shadows ;)

Not sure what the first skill for me will be. I'm finishing off all the runes first (for both proff's so that's 8k worth of minors, 12k worth of majors and 24k worth of sups o_0 )

I forget the names of the skills but an easy way to modify the A/W template is to replace the stance mirror with the hex that costs 5 energy, has a 1 sec cast, and causes degen if the enemy keeps moving, replace your primary attack with the one that gives you 15 energy if the enemy is suffering from a hex (so you regain the energy cost of the hex and first hit) and then you can spam repeating strikes, and once the enemies HP is down below 50%, or your energy is down to 12, combo in the templates dual strike and elite, for bleeding, deep wound, a nice damage bonus, and recharge your attack skills, remember, the elite counts as an off hand attack, so if it fails to finish the enemy off you can squeeze in one or two more repeating strikes if you have the energy for it.

If you have that annoying enemy that just keeps running away while just outside your range, you can use the hex to stop them from auto regenerating health.

Only because that's the only pre-fab build

I like my A/R with Apply poison and other conditions (bleed, deep wound, weakness, dazed and 1 more) Gonna try how that works with the Hearts-spell when I get home.

Way of the Empty Palm: "For 5-17 seconds, off-hand and dual attacks cost no Energy. This is an elite skill."

It's an elite, but IMO that's much better than the elite you start with if you're using repeating strike.

I replaced the initial elite with Locust fury. Between Frenzy, Locust Fury, and a zealous weapon, it would literally take about about 2-3 seconds to jump from none to full energy. Of course, there tends to be the normal problem with frenzy that i get toast when i use it, but... well, i'm trying to find a work around of that, since the only other penalty-less attack speed buff is tiger's fury, and thats a ranger skill that has an associated attribute.

Use Flurry instead. Shorter duration but the recharge is the same length. No penalties. :)

How about the 25% reduced damage? I think that's a penalty enough..

Well, I don't know about you personally, but to me attacking 33% faster offsets the 25% less damage when you consider the total damage output. Plus (and this is irrelevant when using any non-adrenaline skills, I know this) the increased attack speed builds up adrenaline faster, thus enabling you to use those higher-damage skills.

That's just me, though.

The armor mechanics in this game are already enough, i'd hate to see my non-crit damage drop below 5 per hit on a warrior. The only builds i can really see flurry being efficient on are ones that involve on-hit spells, or IW. Plus, I've had a few good opportunities where a fresh template asssassin uses Mirrored stance on me, which can be very entertaining. It probably won't last, but its not going to last much longer anyways.
