Ritualists have several spells that damage all nearby foes, such as Rupture Soul, which requires an allied spirit, or Cruel Was Daoshen, which doesn't. Each does 110+ damage to all nearby foes.
So what's to prevent 5 or 6 Ritualist/Assassins from casting Cruel Was Daoshen to hold the ashes, then cast the Assassin elite Shadow Form which evades all attacks and all spells, then use a one of the many teleport skills to warp right to the enemy team, and all drop their ashes at the same time doing 112 x 5 or 6 damage? You won't have to worry about the negative consequence of Shadow Form since no one'll be alive. Nor is it absolutely necessary, since it's tough to get yourself killed before you drop the ashes to set off Cruel Was Daoshen.
The scary thing about such ash-based attacks is it's impossible to prevent. You cast the spell beforehand and can unleash the damage any time within the given period. There's nothing they can do to prevent you from dropping the ashes. 110+ damage to all nearby opponents that can't be stopped...
