search function and 'short words'

Sometimes when trying to find articles using the search function (fancy that using the search function http://forums.gwonline.net/images/smilies/gold/shocked.gif ) using the convenient shorthand notation that has been adopted by many skills/builds/concepts will cause a search to fail because one or many of the shorthand notation for concepts will dail to be long enough to be included in a search.

Just wondering what other people's thoughts on this matter were.

While it can be very aggraviting, I understand why it doesn't work well (if at all). There are so many three (or less) letter words out there that using them as a search criteria will return a huge result.

I've had a few searches fail even when I use 4 to 5 letter keywords depending upon the selected words. I'm not sure that a good solution can be found. If I know the topic exists, I'll continue to search using different criteria.
