Slightly confused

Okay, I don't get. I've had two posts deleted in the last 24 hours.

In one I asked a question about where a list of "rare weapon skins" might be located. I've tried using the search function here on the forums and got nowhere.

The other one, I provided two definitions of a word that was spelled two different ways. I think the issue with that post had to do with the usage of the word as slang. My point was that the word, spelled either way, is not just a slang word but more than that.

All I'd like to know is where I violated the rules such that my post got deleted. Or was it that I went off-topic or something? I mean, there's no way to know "why" a post is deleted, just that it was. Maybe I'm better off just keeping my mouth shut. But then I'll wonder what the point is of coming here.

Garreth, can you provide links to the threads in which you posted? And if you started a thread and it was deleted, what forum(s)?

I don't know about the weapons skin post, but I'm responsible for deleting the second one. I had basically stated earlier in that thread that I saw no point in continuing along that line of inquiry; you meant no harm in providing spelling/definition clarity, I understand. Frankly, though, that stuff is so disgusting that even a self-respecting pornography site (is there such a thing?) shuns it. I felt that any further mentions of it far exceeded the boundaries of good taste we try to maintain here. My apologies for confusion regarding it.

Don't worry about it. I was just being a grumpy old man (that's what my kid said anyway. lol) I'm not sure which thread I posted in about the weapon skins. there were a couple I was following about weapons.

I'll agree with you on the other one MixedVariety. At least you understand that I was trying to point out that some words have a real meaning as opposed to the gutter-slang that they have come to represent. That in itself says a lot about our society which pains me greatly. Geez, I'm starting to sound like my Dad...
