Hi,

My husband and I are sharing a dsl connection playing guild wars together. I have no problems, but he frequently experiences a total freeze, for a couple of minutes at a time. I will post our computer stats, if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it. I should add that I found a temperature measuring programme, and the computer is not running too hot. Thanks.

Holy %%%% little to much cpu info lol. Its not to much if its the computer. Its more your internet and your ISP.

I know my computer locks at times but its for 5-15 sec's if it does. Normaly when it does it its been on for awhile and needs a reboot or shutdown for a few. Its not the temp or anything that you can monitor. I think its that fact that its a 64 bit processer and 64bit op and the cach gets loaded and doesn't unload. (O yes its done it to me in a gvg!) I even did a defrag in 5 mins cause i just did it a week ago.....yes i got alot on here but its really that fast!(enless i just installed something, then 10 mins lol)

On march 18th around 3am - 5 am est in the desert. I was getting 1/2 - 1 sec lag from useing skilll's and picking up items. Today on the 19th im getting the same stuff. This has been in the past 1.5 hour of this post. My Guild does gvg alot today, its sunday! lol. If this lag keeps ups i cann't play anything. I thought it might be my end so i unpluged everything for 10 mins, repluged in and checked www.speakeasy.net (http://www.speakeasy.net/) for speed. It was normal, did some other things and everything was normal. loaded GW again and tried to log in......got connecting after Passwaord was in.......1 min later it connected to my chars! i haven't seen that sence Anet fixed alot of the lag caused from Jan.'s Factions update earlyer this month.

I didn't really care if this was the right place to put this post or not. Its better that it be known that theres still people with lag. I normaly dont get to much lag at all! Gota love cable internet.

I put the computer info after reading the guidelines in one of the threads stickied above. I have no idea what any of it means, and I'm sorry if it is too much. I measured the temperature using Motherboard Monitor 5. I checked that it was reasonably accurate by observing the temperature displayed in the bios.

I don't know anything about networking, which is part of my problem, as I have set things up as best as I am able, (and it works), but I don't even know where to go for help with troubleshooting it. I have done some searches, but I am obviously using the wrong keywords. We are plugged into a netgear router, and from there by cable to our isp. It is not likely to be the ISP as I have no trouble. If it were a problem external to us, then it surely should affect both of us. This freeze is not short. I mean it when I say for a couple of minutes, at least. 10-15s while enough to get you killed is nothing compared to this. I can have a full fight, wander and explore a large section of the map before he unfreezes. The freeze can occur whether I am connected or not, or even whether my computer is on or not.
