I'm confused

When you use a Dual attack, any conditions (bleeding, deep wound, etc.) are applied only once. The listed "+" bonus damage is applied twice. You also get two "normal" attack rolls, both of which have your chance to crit, so neither, one, or both might be crits. If either of them crit, you get the energy bonus from your Critical Strikes/Critical Eye. So if both of them crit you could get back as much as 8 energy from that Dual attack.

A double-strike can never happen on any attack skill. Not on a lead, nor an off-hand, nor a dual. Double-strikes only occur during normal auto-attacks. At least that's the popular concensus at the moment, and nobody has been able to prove otherwise. Perhaps this will chance in a few weeks once we've had a chance to test for this.

It may give you a double strike and just hit for normal damage with the offhand...but siding with you, I doubt they'd let your lead and offhands count twice from double strikes...locust's fury would then be ridiculous!

I personally confirmed this during the FPE. Attack skills do exactly as stated, leaving no room for a possible "double strike," unless that is if you use a Dual Attack, which means you strike twice because of the skill description. Double strikes only happen with normal attacks.
