Ok, since this has made many people confused, and since all other Profession Forums have a sticky topic about armors, I’m creating one here as well. This topic has two purposes – to give answers to those confused about how the Ritualist armor works, and for you guys to post pictures of your own Ritualists. I’ll begin with these ones:

Guide to Factions Armor - Version 2.0 (http://forums.gwonline.net/showthread.php?t=397802)

How does it work? Unlike in Prophecies, there’s no link between one look and one set of stats. Meaning, each look may have all the stats of the Ritualist Armor. What determines how the armor looks is where the crafter is. So, if you want the Luxon Armor look, you will need to craft your armor at the Luxon Capital – there, all the armor you craft, regardless of stats, will have the same look. Likewise, if you want the Kuzick Armor look, you’ll need to go to the Kuzick Capital – there, and only there, you’ll find it.

There is a set, Oracle I believe, which has the effect +10 armor (while holding an item)

When does this proc? Is it whenever you have a weapon equipped? Off-hand item equipped? Or when you're carrying things like a keg?

If it's either of the first two it seems to be fairly good for low levels.

I found this nice little armor set from a crafter outside Kaineng in the explorable area itself. (It's a short jaunt from the Visunah(sp?) Square Foreign Quarter mission) Best of all the materials it uses are all common so I can actually have full AL! :D

I haven't got the legs part because it was a dress ;p The legs are actually Kaineng collectors. Somewhat disappointingly they don't look any different to the regular version of that armor.

When does this proc? Is it whenever you have a weapon equipped? Off-hand item equipped? Or when you're carrying things like a keg?

It's some kind of item that you carry, making you unable to hold your weapons. This includes a lot of things, but most importantly, the Ritualist's Ashes.

I might be wrong though as you might buy it from different people depending on the sex of your character.

Both armours look very cool though, I have the male design of yours on my channeling ritualist right now.

If I made a ritualist or an assassin in Cantha, transport them to Tyria, and go to Marhanns or the Granite Citadel, would there be other 15k armor offerings there that look different from the luxon/kurzick offerings?

I covered that area pretty thoroughly (Or so I thought) and only spotted the one armor guy. Could you please show a map of where the other one is? I'd like a look at this exotic armor.

The Imperial armor crafter is in Bukdek, and the Exotic crafter is in Wajjun Bazaar (over on the docks)

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows the exact location of the armor crafter in Waijjun Bazaar. I was told it's southwest of the Marketplace but I can't seem to find it.

I know it offers Halcyon armor for Ritualists and I'm pretty sure it's max (60).

When you exit out from the marketplace, Head westerly then south. Both of these are fairly long solid runs and you will mostly be surrounded by Non aggro npc`s, Kinda follow the boardwalk/Pier area round the very edge and you`ll come to him.. If you`ve done the quest for Bryan to book passge home on the ship he`s just before the captain you need to see in the quest chain.

The other crafter is about an inch South East of the "y" in Bukdek Byway. I will post a screenshot later if I decide to stop being lazy and go there again.

Anyone knows that is the +armor from shamans universal or does it only apply to one piece?

I tested all that and the +armor is based on individual piece. So ideally, a shamans chest armor with the +energy halycon(sp?) set is the way to go if you plan on controlling spirits. I will leave that up to you though since some people prefer the full set for most armor rather than the chest and risking the small chance of getting hit somewhere else at the expense of energy.

The armor bonus from shamans set does also apply to ranger spirits. So a big bonus for all you Rt/R spirit spammers.

P.S. I tested these on 4/29, there have been several updates since then so I am not 100% certain if they are in fact the same now.

I have made a map where you can find the imperial armor crafter. I spend half an hour looking for him and eventually I asked someone to show it (thx to Cemi Csak Egy Van for that, still nice people out there...) and indeed, I didn't looked that far behind the mobs. This is a map how to get there, actually there is a material and a rare material trader on the route:

Personally, I find this the best looking armor for female rit that you can get in the beginning maybe died black it would be cool but I don't have the money for it, blew it all on the materials...

Most of you must've seen the ritualist Fow armor thread already. I thought I'd post the pics here because this is stickied.

Gratz and credits for possibly the very first Euro FOW rit armor goes to 'K' and his Ritualist, Shananara Te Ortyn. And believe it or not, he got it within the first 24 hrs of factions release !

K is from my alliance and a fantastic player.

Few things of note are :

1. FoW and UW have access from Zin Ku corridor in Cantha.
2. No need to be "ascended" in prophecies for entry to FoW or UW.

So far I still haven't seen the headwrap that I want for my female Rit. I'm sure they haven't taken it out of the game because it's the one the Rit on the cover wears!

I'm guessing it's from the Luxon set. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Yup, its Luxon, my ritualist has it. Its the 1.5k Jadeite armor headpiece from the Cavalon armorer. The skirt is also the same armor.
The top if a 1.5 piece from Kaineng.

Honestly Im not a huge fan of the head piece... so might have to switch that up a little :) Thats fine though, I rarely wear my headpieces anyways... so not such a big issue.

Aside from that I really like the look of this armor. In Black its awesome like the pic posted above. Im guessing the black on the character is just excessive Tattooing.

The black inking on the skin is put there by the armor. If you look at her character's face, you can see she has a light complexion.

The existing picture has a weapon blocking the braces and the boots are off screen.

Also, which pieces of the Kurzick armor give the black skin?
Is it just the chest/legs? Or do the braces and/or boots matter as well?

Ritualist and Assassins get 3 end game armors.
Imperial, Canthan and Exotic

While the old Professions get only one end game armor.

It makes sense since Rit and Assassins do not have 15k armors at the Grotto or Citadel.

I guess the easy way would be to whoever has female rit fow to transfer it to a male character and the armor would show up as being male, though you would only be able to see what it looks like in inventory. Other than that, I'm not sure anyone has it yet.

I didnt see any pics of 15k Luxon top before I bought it. I wish I had cause it looks simply terrible. There is a clitch under left breast and I don't like the look much either.

Ive definitely seen worse armor.... but all the same, the Kurzicks is probably nicer. I think I kind of like them both.

Nah. Went straight away to farm Kurzick faction to get some Amber for Kurzick 15k armor. Definately looks better imo.

You are Luxon if you have more Luxon faction than Kurzick faction, and other way around.

There are primary quests (Pefriending Luxons/Kurzicks) which tells you to get 10000 faction for either side to get to the next coop-mission on that side. You need to do those coops to get to those towns with 15k armors.

After you've got your reward of that quest you get a new primary quests which leads you to the mission outpost. (Eternal Frove for Kurzicks and Gyala Hatcher for Luxons.)

After getting the reward you can use your 10000 faction for your guild or spend for jade(luxon) or amber(kurzick) and use em to craft your armor.

When you spend one faction you also lose other. For example: If you spend your Kurzick faction you also lose Luxon faction cause raising Kurzick guild standing or trading faction for amber tells to Luxons that you are on Kurzick side.

Yes, all of the Canthan PvE armor is set up like FoW armor. You can get any of the 15k or 1.5k skins with whatever stats you want.

at least ambers are easy to get.. just farm those challenge missions or repeatable quests and you'll have it in no time.. jadeite are more difficult..
Omg.. the horror of getting 9 luxon faction after all that effort in that jade mine mission thing.. I get on avg 1.2k from amatz basin per run..
Actually I think the Luxon faction is much easier to get. You can just run the supply quest. Anyone can change to /R and do it just fine, takes just over 2 minutes for a run.

The Head, Hands and Shoes need 25 Cloth and 4 Silk. The Leggings need 50 Cloth and 8 Silk. The Chest needs 75 Cloth and 12 Silk. Altogether, you need to buy 200 Cloth and 32 Silk. Along with 7500 Gold to build the pieces.

And, that if you want the SPECIAL pieces. The absolute regular pieces just need 200 Cloth and 3750 Gold. But, then, who buys those pieces? :tongue:

No.. You get acsess to a specail area where you are allowed to purchase this armor once beating the last mission.

Once you have left you haev to repeate the last mission each time you want to acsess this area.

You DO get a free amulet which you can trade in for a Green item of Choice - but you only get one per character.

No, the armor in the booklet is the 1,5k Seitung Armor (at least for the Ritualist). Monk armor shown there is 1,5k Kurzick, Necro is either 1,5k oder 15k Luxon (haven't seen a comparison between 15k and 1,5k yet, so can't tell).

Here's a question. Are any of the numerical values between the 1.5K armor and the 15K armor any different? Is the 15K armor have stronger Armor value than the 1.5K armor, or is the 15K armor just meant for show and bragging rights? I went through all the work of getting that Exotic armor set, and I don't think I'd have any chance of getting the materials or Gold for the 15K armor...

Its a very good looking set for a ritualist; expensive looking too. :) I draw your attention to the line of jade around the neck, as well as the row of gold around the chest piece. If you look carefully, there are jade insets around all the ornamental pieces around the armour set.

I dyed it Turquoise (Blue + Green) to bring out the "jade" flavour of it. This set probably pwns the FOW set, which has a head piece that looks like a teapot -_-".

My Weapon is the Communing Wayward Wand. When you finish the game by defeating Shiro you get a choice of a few different greens. Thing that kinda irked me after i got it was that all the caster greens have the same skin. Wish they would have at least made the different caster professions have different skins.

Yes, it's mostly 15k Luxon with the exception of the gloves. The 15k (and 1.5 to a lesser extent) Luxon gloves include a gigantic leather gauntlet on the right hand (which I loathed). The gloves in that pic therefore are just 1.5k exotic.

There seem to be two camps of rit armor admirers: those that love the heavy black inking and those that hate it. I fall in the latter group so I had to go farm the Luxon side even though my alliance is Kurzick. :embarassed:

Trying to go for a softer more etherial look than the currently popular red since my chars name has "Devi" in it.

I skipped the 15k gloves. I think they're too bulky looking, so I went with the 1,5k Canthan. I will get the 15k lux boots when I get enough faction again. Hopefully I'll get that today sometime. After that I have to finish off getting my mez kitted out. 15k lux pants and boots, then 15k Canthan. I'm going to be so broke soon!

I don't have a picture of mine yet, but I do have to admit, my Ritualist is becoming REALLY popular in the Crystal Desert. In Augury Rock, I've become addicted to Queen Farming, and my Ritualist has been at the top of the game in Healing. Most people who never encountered my Ritualist are wary at first, but a number of people who I've gone on farms numerous times are saying that I'm not only a good healer, but I'm BETTER than a Monk. Heh, who'dve thought?

I'll try and get a shot of my Ritualist soon. She's only wearing 1.5K Luxon armor dyed blue.

I had a similar experience with my Ritualist actually. I had hopped over to the Temple of the Ages to do the Galgrath quest just for fun and ended up joining a small group with two others(level 17 for both) and we brought along 3 henchies for a total group of 6.

About halfway through the journey one of the players asked me what a Rt was. I gave him a real quick explaination to which his reply was "well it's real good at keeping us alive" lol. We made it the whole way with no deaths in about 20 minutes of travel time. All in all not bad :)

Plus those who have never seen a ritualist in action always seem to ooh and ahh over the weapon spell effects lol.

You can see the whole set undyed in post 76 of this thread, or in Erasculio's Guide to Factions armor in the Community Lounge. The only part that dyes is the brown part. I need your help plz. I am ready to make FoW male ritualist armor and have all the ectos/shards. My plan is to make all shaman armor with a commune helm, but I really need to know the other materials I will need. Any assistance would be great. Thanks in advance for taking the time to respond.

well since ihave nothing to do (well homework but that doesnt count:rolleyes: ) ill help u out:grin:
u need : Headwrap: 50 cloth, 5 ink, 15 ectos and 15 shards
Raiment: 150 cloth, 15 spirit wood, 45 ectos and shards
Bangles: 50 cloth, 5 spirit wood, 15 ectos and shards
Leggings: 100 cloth, 10 spirit woood, 30 ectos and shards
Shoes: 50 cloth, 5 spirit wood, 15 ectos and shards
TOTAL= 400 cloth 120 shards
40 spirit wood 120 ectos

p.s i am 98% sure its spirit wood plz correct me if im wrong

Cheap 1.5k armour until I can get her to the 15k crafters. The dye mixes are blue blue green for the top and shoes and blue green for the headwrap and skirt.

Well, if you save the image as a jpeg file it will com out big,
Trye open the image in paint and simply save as and then choos jpeg formate and you should have big pics

I would also say that both the chestpiece and the helm really stand out. I am planning to save up for a FoW Helm and switch between the two. A FoW helm would look really nice on a full set of 15k imperial. Imperial armor also dyes much better than FoW.

I should also mention that I did have a full set of 15K Imperial before getting the FoW Chestpiece. Once I figured out the dye combination, I savlaged my Imperal for the Sup Vigor rune. I really like the shoulder pads and belt on the FoW Chestpiece. I think the Imperial leggings look better and are more colorful than FoW legggings.

Lastly, If you go for the Chestpiece you will have one dye combination to make it match well. Here is my mix:

Imperial leggings, arms, headpiece, feet = Black + purple
Fow Chestpiece = Green + Yellow + Orange

Made her on the first day of the head start but never really played her untill last week.
She is level 20 now as of last night and also visited Lion's Arch.
Do not like any of the Kurzick armors and some of the Imperial and Canthan amors have too much black ink on them.
Once I get 15k Luxon top and skirt then I'm done, maybe a FoW hat one day.
Hope Ch3 has nicer looking armors.

I wanted to dye of white my ritualist armour (so far I'm at a simple 1.5k mix between Canthan and Seitung)... If I use normal silver dye, the armour will look sort of grey-ish, will it not?

So is there a way to dye the ritualist armour of a whiter white?

i m not sure how it will turn out but on monk armor it almost always gets white the combi is silver/slver/silver/yellow thats should do the trick otherwise try four times silver :afro:

Trying to go for a softer more etherial look than the currently popular red since my chars name has "Devi" in it.

I skipped the 15k gloves. I think they're too bulky looking, so I went with the 1,5k Canthan. I will get the 15k lux boots when I get enough faction again. Hopefully I'll get that today sometime. After that I have to finish off getting my mez kitted out. 15k lux pants and boots, then 15k Canthan. I'm going to be so broke soon!

So.....cant we mix the pure white dye for rts?
I tried Y+S+S and S+dye remover but all failed...
They were like grey instead..

No, there isn't a pure white dye in Guild Wars. Some of the armors (like Monk) can get close, but I think the best we can do with Ritualist armors is grey.
