I dont know if this has been written somewhere but.. what is the range of spirits like Pain etc? Is it equal to rangers recurve bow? Or longbow? What i mean is, can a ranger just shoot the spirit from the distance with longbow and Rt cant really do anything about it? How do you handle it ? :)

I don't know the exact range, but I know its at least at Longbow range. I use a longbow with my Rit and stand near my spirits, and they hit stuff just fine.

yeah, they have a nice range, try planting them on a hill, they can shoot from very far away. but the shots are pretty slow.

Yeah they do have a nice range on their attacks. As far as attacking slow I make up for that using Pain, Bloodsong, and Shadowsong. Then throw in some Painful Bond and you got some really nice damage numbers going there.

I have noticed that the spirits have a longer range than your aggro circle - as soon as you summon one (meaning, it's on the center of your aggro circle), it may already hit enemies that are beyond that range.

I have the feeling that the high level ones are "smarter" than the low level ones. At the beginning of the game, they were aggroing all nearby enemies, attacking as soon as I had summoned them; later on, they only attack an enemy once I begin the attack, or once they begin to attack me (when the hench attack, in other words).

I have also noticed that the higher level spirits do not attack until I am attacked or I start the attack. I had forgotten about that completely. Good call Erasculio.

I've noticed that a spirit will only attack things within an aggro radius if they are the only spirit. But if you place another spirit close enough to see the enemies, then some spirits that aren't within its range will start attacking. Untill the targeting spirit dies, then they stop shooting again.

So my conclusion is, attack spirits can see only within the aggro bubble, but have a longer attack range that they can only use when another attack spirit tells them where the enemy is

From my observations, spirits will attack anything inside their aggro range or anything that your team attacks or is attacked by.
