Only pals can have a signature.

You´ll have to pay to become a pal.
No ads anymore, and signature. And you can store more PMs, I think.

(The forum´s huge - it probably wouldn´t be affordable by advertisements alone.)

User Cp ---> Edit Avatar. Then upload something that is 75 by 75 pixels and also under 19.5 KB. Forum stats, the big sticky at the top - http://forums.gwonline.net/showthread.php?t=382624

Also you can edit your post, double posting is not allowed within the 1 hour edit limit.

Edit Avatar (http://forums.gwonline.net/profile.php?do=editavatar). And like Demented Soul said, please edit your posts within an hour, dont double post.

Thought I'd just add this here.

The "bronze" package says nothing about ads so I'm assuming you can have a signature and all but you will still have ads - it's still very cheap. The silver package seems to get rid of the ads.

If you do have a signature are you allowed to link to an outside site? I'd like to have my guild information and link to the forums in my signature but I don't want to pay if I can't link outside the site.

Thanks

You'd have to get the links approved by a mod or administrator (green or blue name, respectively).

OK, thanks. Does anyone have any idea whether or not invisionfree forums would be allowed? The only problem I could see is they have their own ads on the site but our site has no profanity or vulgarity. It's totally PG!

Your best bet would be to PM a mod or admin, probably.

3. Thou Shalt Not Advertise. We do not intend to serve as a linking service or a search engine to other sites. Links that wouldn't be allowed anywhere on the forums (including signatures, and location) would be to links to sites (commercial OR personal) that have:

a. Pornographic, racist or illegal materials, including game cheats or hacks
b. Profit sites (any get rich quick sites). This is sites that earn the poster a profit/commission or sites that give points for incoming links
c. Sites offering similar or the same content as GWOnline.Net. It has taken many 'man' hours to compile the sites' content and as such our commitment to the promotion of that content is total. Neither do we allow visitors to use our forum membership as a means to build their own sites from, using our Private Messaging system to recruit writers and/or their content or membership drives for their own forums.
d. Sites carrying ad-busting software

If your link doesn't fall in any of those categories, please PM an administrator and find out. It's better safe than banned.

As a general rule, links are usually frowned upon. Make sure any links you post are approved. Don't be a rule-breaker, play it safe! :afro:
