bug in trading in faction points?

I would like to know if this a bug or some thing I did not know, I just traded in some luxon faction for some jadite to have 1k faction removed from both the luxon and kurz faction bars. I was hoping to reduce my luxon faction so I could use the kurs npcs.

not a bug..
if u show allegiance (trading in for guild or buying jade/amber) LOWERS your relations with the kurzick/luxon faction, and coz your spending your luxon/kurzick it takes it from both

Best way to handle this:
Do Luxon quests/battle to get 10k to "befriend" Luxons ==> spend all Luxon Faction on Jadeite or for your guild.
Change sides
Do all Kurzick quests/battles to "befriend" the Kurzicks ==> spend all Kurzick Faction on Amber or for your guild.

This way (or vice versa) not points are lost.
