BAD secondary... I have been playing as a / rit , but I am going to change it to A/W or A/anything as soon as I can get to the senji's corner ( very soon now )... There are really no good ritualist skills for assassin.

I beg to differ, A/Rt spirit spammers can be very effective especially when farming. anyway, I just pick a secondary based on rezzes, the rest of my skills are sin skills.
I don't really like sin/rit combo. Since most of the rit spells are slow-casting, it doesn't really fit into the speedy image of a sin. But on the other hand, the rit weapon skill like vengeful weapons, warding weapon can be very useful for a sin.

Generous was Tsungrai is an amazing self heal.
Using A/Rt atm just to unlock skills :)

This was the reason I made A/Rit... I admit there's good rit skills outthere - but they do not suit too well for an assassin. Most of them are too slow and/or too energy expensive to benefit assassin much. Spirit spamming with Assassin is difficult because the lack of spawning power - your spirits die easier and you can't manage your energy well enough. Monk has better self heal and ranger or warrior gives more extra damage, imo.

Bring along a spirit like Rejuvination or Distruction or something and use it as a plant so you can use spirit walk. One of the most superior shadow step skills out there. Use the 4 second regen to give you some time to select the spirit manually.

Once you go to the mainland and go to senji's corner, you can change your secondary for 500 gold for each profession. Once you unlock it you can change it for free as many times back and forth.
Mighty was Vorizun (+15 armor +20energy) can be useful if you play with henchies alot. It gives you the energy to make yourself useful on the fringes while you wait for them henchies to get in there n mix it up. When its time to dive in, drop Vorizon and go
Spirits can be expensive and slow to summon normally, but with that extra 20 energy and with the 5-10 seconds it takes for the henchies to respond to your command and engage the enemy, i'd wager you'd have time to summon a spirit or two.
Hmmmm... Offatwork's idea about using Spirit Walk as your escape teleport intrigues me. You'd need a spirit that has a long survival time for this to work effectively, and you can't move more than an aggro circle away from the spirit, but that's not too much of a problem if you normally play with henchies anyway. Soothing and Recuperation come to mind as good spirits to use for this tactic, because they don't suffer damage when doing their stuff, and have a considerable effect on the battlefield.
Otherwise, I agree that the A/Rt combo is not a very good one. Their skillsets just don't mesh together effectively. For the most part the only Ritualist skill that is ever on my skillbar is Flesh of My Flesh, and even then sometimes that gets dumped for Res Signet.
