View Full Version : Dervish Mobs
Renegade Returns

hey guys i know that i shouldnt speculate about things but something just caught my mind. In Prophecies we saw Warrior mobs like Trolls or Griffons that we could farm. In Factions we saw Assasin mobs like Onis or Vermin. That means that Elona is def gonna have Dervish mobs and that can get annoying as hell. Imagine doing missions and suddenly a group of 10 dervish appear. That is going to be very hard to beat which means the missions r gonna be harder than factions.
Anyways this is just a thought.

Not really a problem; I'm thinking empathy, SS, Shield of Judgement and quite a few other skills, even a traditional 55 will trump them farmwise, and on mission a group will likely be able to handle the mobs.
In fact, with the Aoe attack of the scythes, they'll not only be nice to farm, but could be nicely dualfarmed with a pair of 55s...

it shouldn't be too bad of a problem, considering how bad ele bosses in factions were
A Trap and they're all blind :). It's a challenge, one I'd love to meet!

i dont know about the 55's cause if i remeber from the weekened the dervish had quite a bit of enchant removal skills...
Part of the challenge, methinks. It won't be long before their weakness is exposed; but I'm betting the PvE weekend is going to be interesting!

Not than many to remove another targets enchants, most were removing the derv's enchants only.
Because we had WARRIOR mobs to farm in Prophecies and ASSASSIN mobs in Factions we must have DERVISH mobs in Nightfall for farming purposes?
Not really convincing, it is illogical.
I think each chapter will have its intentional farm spots like Pongmei Valley or Vermin, Troll Cave and whatsoever.
This means there will be one-trick pony mobs that are easily farmed with moderate rewards.
It is possible that these mobs are Dervish-like, but by no means they are a full fledged Dervish then... and after all it is not said that these farming mobs will be a Dervish derivate at all.

Just hope they don't have Sand Shards

Well, if the current Grenth Form makes it in, you won't be farming that specific mob as a 55
I doubt Dervishes will be too big of a deal in Nightfall... They'll probably be something like the Jade Brotherhood Knights, only with less armor and enchantments.

Not really a problem; I'm thinking... SS.
Fight AoE with AoE. If they hit with their Scythe 4 times, each foe gets hit 4 times. SS Necros will end up being VERY popular. Maybe even combined with a MM Necro to provide the bean bags.
So it's been tested that the AoE counts as seperate hits, like barrage?

SS won't do 4 times the damage. SS does damage everytime the enemy attacks, NOT hits another person, meaning it will only do its normal damage. Insidious Parasite on the other hand is everytime the enemy hits another person so I expect a good use for that skill. :afro:
