I really like that Warrior armor. It has a nice, simple, clean design, and it doesn't look as bulky as the other armor. I also noticed from all the environment pics I seen that it appears Nightfall will have wide open landscapes.

Yes a lot of theories, I have a couple...

Picture 1- those black vine things, like the ones in the Underworld? And the tomb of primeval kings? (I agree with you Goathands). Gives the theory that "Dhuum is the main bad guy" a bit of emphasis?
Picture 2- Yay for harpies!
Picture 5- Call me strange, but I really like that warrior armor... and the afro...
Picture 6- New god statue? Or just a statue?
Picture 8 and 9- Landscape's looking good. Picture 8 New Realm?

I'd say its a placeholder! I think creating the functionality of the NPCs/the whole game is more important than a single model :D

I'm pretty sure that this island is the newbie island, and yeah I also hope we can explore most of the continent. Cantha was a waste, much land-mass but not explorable

But I think I speak for most people when I say:

Please, no more gray skies in Nightfall! When I got Factions I was disappointed to see gray skies almost everywhere. It's quite depressing, like it was raining everyday. I think that's why so many people liked pre-searing:it was bright and sunny and relaxing. That may sound corny but that's what people like seeing (for the most part). I'm not saying make the whole game a sunny happy lollipop adventure but certainly don't make it as depressing as factions was.

So far it looks like you're doing a less gray sky thing and I think it'll work out! Which is good!

Can't wait to see the new login screen. I think we've already heard the new login music. It's probably the music from the gameplay trailer they released. Whenever they did those types of trailers for Factions, they used the login music so...yeah.

Well, there's our map of Elona/Elonia (can never remember what the official name is). Looks like we're a fair distance from the Crystal Desert, though that coast might lead northwest to meet up with Orr. If so, Elona is right between Tyria and Cantha.

Say what you will about the 'fro (yeah, I think it looks silly too), that is some nice armor. I wonder if the white part is dyable...

Contrary to what people are speculating, I don't think this is another Divine Realm- I can't picture Dwayna's, Melandru's, or Lyssa's realms looking all dead and dark like that. Instead, I'm guessing it's one of the parts of Elona that has already been corrupted by Dhuum (one preview did say something about a darkness that's corrupting the land). I like it, very creepy.

In another fansite forum somebody called "WhiteZombie" did puzzle the world map of Tyria and our off-screen photo of the worldmap of Elona together. He placed it south-east of the desert and the results looks pretty convincing. My personal guess is that the world map of Elona is of the same height as Tyria but only 75% of the width.

After our "live photos" website nearly got blown away trafficwise with 6000 hits in the first 48 hours my boyfriend unfortunately had to downsize the images to reduce traffic.

But we now have finished our full review of the whole Games Convention with 189 photos from the event, including yet another 20 unseen photos of Nightfall and the Guild Wars booth. It even resides on a "traffic save" webseite, hehe.

I already sent the link of that review to a moderator due to the "no links without asking" rule here. Stay tuned, it's worth the wait!

Very nice review of the game - I particularly liked the screenshot of the "weird green screen" hex and the screenshot of the Templates thing (all screenshots were very interesting, in fact). The review also has many other interesting elements - very nice work :smiley:

(In fact, I liked that review so much that I read most of the others in the page. Some games there looked interesting, from the other reviews and screenshots, but it always amazes me to see how many people are trying to make a MMORPG these days.)
