Ok, so I've been trying to get my rank up a bit because it is 0. But thanks to some people, now I can't get in a group. Lots of people in Hero's Ascent say this:

LF <professions> with R3-6+ (SHOW RANK UNDER BRIDGE)

I don't have a rank and I wish to get one but how can I get one with these "people" ?

And now Anet made this Hero's Ascent event, which is definately I am going to miss because of this simple reason.

Anyone else has this problem of getting in Hero's Ascent?

Um...play a lot this weekend, apparently it's double fame in HA....6 man teams though. I can't confirm ATM, this came from a Guildie.

Simple, advert something like this :

Making group, rank is of no matter.

You are not the only one having limited rank in HA and not every ranked person is looking for ranked persons to party with (especially where PUGs are concerned as valid HA regulars have extensive friendlists anyway since it is not possible to play well and to not have people ask you if they can put you on their friend list)

Like any group anywhere people will ask for something more than they will something else.

Monk>Mezmer (not in my opinion but generally)

Rank 6>3

Form a Rank 0 group - normally using one of the flavour of the months buildsto gurantee some sort of success.

EVERYONE playing in HA had the same problem at some point or another.

Play with your guild if you have one.

If you don't have one, observe what are the popular build at the moment, like a gas ranger, shock warrior...

Take one build, play it in RA/TA to get the basic understanding of the build, use the observer mode to see how to play, etc.

Then Advertise yourself as " Choking gas ranger lfg".

Offering what people are looking for is the best way to get into a group. Ultimately, a group will invite you without consideration to your rank.

From there, build you friend's list, and keep playing with the same people again and again.

"Create your own group", "Enter a PvP guild" is what you are going to be told...

Anyway I move this thread to the PvP forum.

Aye, and remember: you have it easy now because there is observer mode. You can see the big guys play, write down skills etc etc. Learn from the best!

And plz accept one fact: there will always be people with a higher rank, especially when you start now in HA. Of course you will be beaten by those, simply because they have more experience. Will this mean you never can win? Certainly not, but its a learning curve and you are on the beginning. Accept, play a lot and most of all: have fun!

the best way I find to fit into groups is being a monk who can run WoH or RC prot. This was you have more to offer and the folks who care about rank are more likely not to care, as long as you have multiple builds to offer and you do your job.

Also, even though it may seem kinda useless in a pug, get ventrillo and/or teamspeak so you also have that to offer, especially if you have a guild who has a server you can use. people like it when you have the ability to use a mic, it shows that you are a "more dedicated gamer" i guess, haha.

Yeah, this is sooo out of context... nobody says "under bridge" anymore...

Was the 153 ranked guild using Heros? I seen a few notable guild names pop up before only for it to be Heros.
