2x thumpers with disrupting lunge instead of run as one
1x choking gas(with debilitating)
1x either tainted warder or standard e/mo support
2x boon prot

Its too early to make up build yet, who knows what the meta will be, boonprots could suck.

Is this the end of spike build ?

With less people able to spike in the team, and the maximum HP staying the same, it seems it will be harder to spike.

I'm not sure why they'd made such a drastic change if it wasn't supposed to be permanent. Why would you not be happy if 6v6 stayed ? I'm genuinely curious, since I don't HA much.

Edit: Yes, I know it says till the fifth.

Because i like HA how it is? If they want a 6v6 area, make a new arena, dont **** with the classics.

Try the healers for gvg, not the boonprots but the others.. With a little support class thrown in, it owns. And at the same time leaving room for other things. No Spellbreaker for example will make a PD mesmer own in HoH.

I like the build given here. Any other build to think of?

I would think of heavy hex stacking builds with a 2 monk backline. As most will play with 2 monks, hex removal will be tight at the least.

Aaah, the event is going to give so much change to most builds. I like it! Change is good in Halls tbh. Too much status quo. Same thing happened just before Faction. All the same builds running around. Bleh

I dont know if this is permanent but HA has always been a famous place of dc's. After many tries to fix it, maybe this is the solution? It will also make it easier to form parties for HA. Besides... theres always the GvG for 8 vs 8 either way.

Since when did thumpers have run as one?

The making of the builds right now will determine the metagame. There's nothing new being introduced, so there's no "we'll see" factor.

Obviously this is a pressure build, but drop a boon prot for a BLighter with infuse. Spikes could still be running rampant, but use it sparingly. Reason for this is that NR/Tranq seems like it will be a powerful build, and you don't want to have 2 boon prots against that. Other than that, looks good, run it, see what happens.

When I go thumper I equip 'run as one' though only when doing alliance battles, not in HA.

What? The rate of dc's is the same as the rest of the game. It jsut seems more because you win consec.

GVG IS NOT THE SAME AS HA. -.- Anyone who plays both at a decent level should agree with me, its completely different. If you want easy parties to form, go TA.

HA isn't broken, why fix it?

A dc on HA is more critical than in other parts of the game. Neither of us is pulling out sources but i do disagree with you. From my experience dc's are more often in general on HA and Elite Missions than in the rest of the game. I dont know why though.

I dont recall saying GvG is the same has HA and i do agree with you. Yet, i think making the party size 6 for HA will make it more interesting, fresh and at the same a bridge between 4v4 and 8v8 (GvG). Refusal to let the game be more user friendly is selfishness though.

HA is quite broken actually. No new builds show up for ages and almost everything has been tryed out. Honestly, HA was becoming quite boring. This is the kind of freshness it needs. But thats my personal opinion of course.

I agree with the "fresh difference"..and will enjoy playing 6v6 for a few days..but

With the reduction in teamsize...comes a reduction in total skills taken by each side in battle.

I think in the long term reducing Halls to 6 player team will eventually reduce the number of different builds that teams are willing to play.

I see Vimway teams in my dreams...there everywhere (except Dis 7)

build line-up posted might work, came across some which had a smiter instead of a warder, and made mince meat of them. only really need 1 thumper but from the looks of it but your not covered for relic maps where the build may become unstuck

But have to admit i've not had so much fun in a while in Ha until now, since there is no spiking as such but more balance

didnt use that build in the end go a few hundred fame with:

w/e shock axe
2x starbursts
tainted warder OR shockwave warder
woh
boon prot(take off boon against iway etc)

problem is with interrupts but not really designed to hold because we are not good enough to get there ^^

we normally win the first 4 maps then restart

great against these balling iways which we can kill in literally 3-4 seconds ^^
