here is my flagging build for the dervish, assuming they dont change things up too much.

D/E
Attribs:
Mysticism 15 (11+3+1)
Earth Prayers 9-11 (8+1 OR 10+1
Fire Magic:10-11
(the earth and fire things differ depending on how much regen it would give me on earth for Mystic regen)

3 free slots, probably some form of damage.

basically, mystic regen should deal with burning speed, plus mysticism for any energy problems caused by burning speed. Avatar of Dwayna is a good against ice ele hexes, plus your monks won't have to use a hex removal on you.Please Discuss, any critiques n' stuff r welcome

Why not Avatar of Melandru with Burning Speed? That seems quite nice...

No Cripshotters nor the effect of burning while running 50% faster? Add in a 20% enchantment mod to enhance the duration.

Avanti: that is a nice combo if you don't mind the 10 energy cost.

Yeah i thought about the cripshot ranger thing too, i was kind of torn on using melandru or dwayna, but i chose dwayna becuase of the extra heal and this build isn't really effected by burning with mystic regen, also conditions are (at least from my experience..) much easier to remove than hexes. But it's worth a shot with melandru.

Hate to say it but wouldnt a D/Mo with Balthazar and a few speed enchants, healing enchants and CoP work fine?

I expect a nerf with the D/Mo CoP thing, especially after the PvP Beta Weekend.

Also, would Pious Restoration be a good replacement for the Avatar of Dwayna? It certainly requires enchantments, but hey, Dervishes are entirely based on them :smiley:

The run buff and armor bonus isn't very useful when people are looking to cripple / daze you or use armore ignoring damage. . .

Melandru was definitly the way to go since you get a free pass against many common builds.

Just being immune to deep wounds is plenty for me.

Don't you want to be made out of wood?

ooh, didnt see Pious Restoration, that would be pretty good in place of Avatar of Dwayna, so i could take melandru instead, but how would i need to change my attributes to bring PR and Mystic Regen/signet of piety.or should i take out piety and mystic regen altogether and bring faithful intervention (for pr's needing of another enchant)and maybe...dwaynas touch for a self heal?

Because the effect of Burning Speed doesn't increase your speed unless you are actually set on fire, and only for the duration of the burn. If you were to use avatar of melandru, burning speed wouldn't do anything.

Thanks for clarifiying/correcting that. Didn't run any Dervish-builds during that Beta Weekend.

Ruricu is wrong; the speed buff from Burning Speed is an unconditional enchantment that just happens to inflict burning when you cast it.

yah ruricu, burning speed itself boosts the speed, the burning is just an added effect of it. anyway heres what the build *might* look like with pious restoration and avatar of melandru:
