Metagame dead in Nightfall?

Once nightfall comes i think we'll all no longer c the same few types of builds ect rit lord, boon prot, shock war, crip shot. With the extension of now 10 Proffessions and countless more skills then was avaliable when prophecies comes out I think you'll see a lot more variations to every1s builds.

Nope, I don't think the Meta will die out - I do think that new builds will be added to the meta though. Just becuase there are new classes doesn't change the fact that certain builds work well.

The meta-game will die when guildwars servers get shut down. Until then it can't die, it can only change. There is already a huge move away from the boon prots (most guilds run dual BLights, Mo/A and Mo/Me, and only some still stick with a BLight and a boon), the rit lord Rts are a lot less common now (I saw a smiting Rt in obs mode, so some of the higher ranked guilds are experimenting with alternatives), however, crip shot and shock war will still be included in some balanced builds, they will not die out just yet IMO.

What is the metagame anyway ?

metagame = the game about the game = the analysis that people make of what is being played in the game and the planification of builds that aim at being effective against what has been analysed.

As such, this does never dies as long as the game is running.

What might change however is the content of the metagame, with the possible dissapearance of the builds we know today in favor of new builds
