I have dsl internet with a speed of 100Mbps but when I try getting on Guild was the speed drops to 30-50 KB/s. Is there any way I can speed it up, because for some maps it takes over an hour to load.

try the -image

you open up GW properties (has to be a shortcut)

and you'll see it says something like:

"C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe"

change it to

"C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image

and leave it on overnight

EDIT:and you'll have to change it back to "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" after the image is finished.
