View Full Version : I need a video for the N/R Stygian Solo

I understand the N/A solo has been nerfed, but I'd love it if someone could post a video for the N/R build found in wiki's tested build section. I have an easy time until the Golems come along. I believe I'm placing my Muddy Terrain incorrectly, so a video would help immensely. Thanks in advance!

Edit by bellissima:
Since it was brought up, here's a local link to the concept.

So I'm not the only one having problems with the golems:rolleyes: was on my way to killing a group today but the lag spikes finally got me so I had to run across half the map to shake them off while they regened back to full health. Didn't feel like killing them all over again after that :(

A video would be nice but with some practice most ppl should be able to do it, after putting muddy up I cast suffering->FoC->suffering, then go put muddy up again and cast suffering ASAP when you get back to prevent health regen. Hope that helps

Eh I just drop out after the Brutes and Hungers, its not really worth it to me after that...

Yeah, but how do I get my drops? The problem is that when you kill a group of them (they bunch up so that FoC doesn't hit them all) the next group comes. So, I have one group of Hungers dead and then while the Brutes are on their way the other Hungers are still there, guarding that precious Stygian Gem that I didn't manage to pick up ;____;

Refer to ranger guide section, put a little thought into it using your N/R, and you'll have a very successful stygian farm build.

You may come up with something that works so effeciently that you should be stoned to death for posting it for public use.

That's an N/Rt though isn't it? I'm sorry but I don't have all the ingenious build ideas and I just need some help. I don't get the greatest income and I don't have the free time to think of these revolutionary builds like the one in the image you've posted.

Nope, it's a N/R, ya there's a ritualist spirit in the screenshot, good eye, what else do you see in the screenshot to give ya a clue?

The screenshot and my post gives you 95%+ of what you need to know. the other 5% is left for experimentation on your part.

Honestly I wouldn't toy with that gwiki build, it looks mind numbingly slow.

I see spike/barbed trap.. and a ranger spirit (presumably muddy terrain)...

So the hero drops the spirit (not sure which) you flag him away, and then you..

Hmm. This is tough to figure out.

And to add even more confusion the clue "stoned to death" seems to add yet another profession in the mix? Glad I don't farm, I can barely control one character. :dizzy:

Alot of 42's and a Necro makes me think about Mark of Pain. Does it trigger on Trap damage?

I'm thinking it's a mod of the 3 Hero trapping method where you send them away. Uses spike trap which deals piercing damage. And the necro player uses MoP. I wonder if arcane echo, echo, mark of pain could be better than being N/R for extra traps and spirits. Adds some nice damage to the Edge Bomb. I need to try this.

There ya go guys, Don't say GLS forgot about the necro's at GWO.

So easy to use,and you can mod it to your liking as well.

Okay no calling each other names. I've added Vexed's link to the OP for reference although as GLS pointed out it's been around longer than that. Any further reference to originality of builds is totally irrelevant and subject to deletion. :angry2:

Destruction spirit works nicely there too =)

I must say thank you to GLS! The build just took a couple of runs to get used to. However, I cannot bring the version that uses Razah as I do not have him yet. I'm doing fine enough with the other one, just the horrors are a little tough. Extremely fast, thanks man!

Just make sure to put down muddy terrain a little bit around the curve in the terrain in the center, that way they don't sprint thru the traps, other then that it's gravy.

You can use w/e character you want to farm this place anyways as long as you have your ranger heroes. It's relatively simple, and the fiends aren't that big of a problem after getting used to them so no need to constantly rezone to kill the first 2 waves.

alright, I'll be making some slight changes though. Since I can't use Razah I'll be changing one Ranger to an R/Rt
