And then there are times that vindicate your build.

8v8 weekend, trying to get into a team. Finally find a party going for an SF team. Not my favorite build, but I can do SF. So, I join in, hell, I know one of the monks anyway.

After about 5 cries for 'ping' I alter my standard pyro build to an SF build. I ping it, so the leader (an unnamed flying rodent with a bushy tail) will shut up about it. Cause it's not his exact SF build, he calls me a noob and kicks me.

So, next team. We actually go somewhat balanced, but still using an SF spike part. 3 SF spikers, 3 attackers, 2 monks. They take note of my build*, and actually copy it.

So, we enter battle. Wipe out the so called Zaishen elite in 19 seconds. Then we fight our first team... the same team that kicked me.

I solo kill the enemy leader that kicked me. :evil:

Yeah... make fun of my build punk. Just cause I'm new don't mean I'm stupid.

* the build in question, if anyone wants to try it or modify it to be more effective:
Glowing Gaze, Searing Flames, Liquid Flame, Meteor Shower, Glyph of Sacrifice, Glyph of Lesser Energy, Fire Attunement, Rez Signet.

Obviously, you use Glyph of Sacrifice with Meteor Shower for a near instant screw you. GoLE goes with Searing Flames. etc etc.

Not only did I solo the enemy leader, I also soloed the ghostly hero too. :grin:

You'll be surpized (or probably that party leader) but this is one of the standart SF builds that is used most of the time.
Sometimes Glyph of lesser enrgy is switched for Gale for extra KD. But basically it IS the 'right' SF build.

Yup.. as Li Yu has said.. that is the basic standard SF build, dunno why the leader kicked you for being a "n00b" :rolleyes:

Well, whatever it was, it didn't work. :shocked: His subclass was Mesmer, so I'm guessing it was some variant of an SF/Arcane Echo build.

I killed him in the first salvo, he got rezzed, got killed by one of the attackers, then he got up a third time, only to stand up in another meteor shower... :laughing:

Was it wrong of me to do? I don't think so.

SF/Echo lol. I mean, I tried that once, in the very beginning when NF just came out. And it's definitely not worth it. SF has quick recharge anyway.
Echo is worth using with skills like SH or SS as they have slow recharge and since they do much pressure, it's sometimes good to echo them.

man, SF echo is probably the biggest waste of energy I could possibly thing of :P (well....maybe mending surpasses it)

still quite a waste of energy as MS 5 sec cast can be interrupted even by a noob interrupter.

Echo mending spike > Echo SF! :D

No... he didn't have the skill. He asked me about it, cause he didn't have it. I told him it's was a Prophecies skill. He was upset then as he only owned Factions and Nightfall. Or so was claimed.

And I agree with Li Yu... without Glyph of Sacrifice to make it 1/4 second cast, Meteor Shower is USELESS in PvP...
