Anyone notice any new tidbits lore wise? Slightly altered

dialogue, etc?

I hate to be vague, but there's potential for a few hidden

goodies, I would believe.

Don't believe so... Hard Mode is exactly like Normal, just stronger monsters. However, I could be wrong, but I'm almost 100% sure that I'm not ;)

Nothing that I see. It's quite sad, actually.

I'm not sure I see the logic here. Why would hard mode offer anything new lore wise? It isn't a different game or world, just an increased difficulty. Hard mode isn't even considered lore.

One of the many mysteries before Hard Mode was that it might result in new gameplay and enemies - a hypothetical example would be that in the new Great Northern wall, for example, the task would be to drive back and exterminate the Charr, post-Nightfall, perhaps revealing, say, morale in light of the Titan revelation. In this way, a minor gameplay change would have a large effect on the story and potentially lore.

Of course, such a thing didn't emerge, so the answer to the OP is no.

I don't really see the level of foes increasing as a Lore change.
Closest thing that'd get to Lore is people becoming (Legendary) Spearmarshalls, but still, that's pretty minor IMO.

EDIT: Oh, and now we know our chars can read books to learn spells, and Scrolls can be used as portals.

There's a difference between a new difficultly level of a current game, and a completely new game.

Hard mode just isn't lore.

There is a couple changes in missions non-lore related tho.

Try doing Great Northern Wall w/o a speed buff ^^

Dem lvl 23 charr got sprint now. :P

I'm not cleanly saying that their is new information around with Hard Mode, I'm implying that it wouldn't hurt to keep an eye open for anything.

Well, the game didn't suddenly change from Guild Wars Prophecies to Eye of the North, or anything like that. It is still Prophecies, and ANet has a pretty strong stand against giving people new stuff without a new game, as this is their way of making money. So it doesn't fit with their business model that they'd introduce new story content into the game except in big SF like updates.

Well, I found a quest in Hard mode "A thorn in Varesh' Side" I hadn't seen before in Gandara, even though I have Elonian Carthographer. Don't know if it was added before or not. Adds little to the story, just that Varesh had more reinforcements coming...

The Wiki page on that quest has existed since November 2006 (a month after the game came out). So it's not new.

one way it offers lore (albeit minor) is the re-skilling of low level mobs-Now we know a bit more about biological mechanisms, such as now we know mantid drones use deathly swarm, which can be interpretted as various things, such as the ability to instantaneously "bud" into small flying organisms, and stuff like that
