okay I wanna put most if not all of my focus into areomancy
but still being new I am not sure how to implement this

what secondary class should I have?
what skills should I use?

In Prophecies, the skills for Air Magic and Earth Magic aren't offered for a fair portion of the game. Most of the skills you'll get from quests and skill trainers will be in Fire Magic. So you may want to wait until you're further along in the storyline to focus on an Air Magic build.

okay so what should I do for a secondary

For a prophecies ele, I'd personally go mesmer secondary for echo nuking.

I agree with nkuvu. You won't get any of the really good air magic skills till later in the game; fire is better earlier on. As for your secondary, you'll be able to change it when you get to the desert, but since thats a long way away, Mesmer or Monk would be a good secondary. Mesmer for Arcane Echo and for farming builds, and Monk for self heal and re-usable rez.

You can also go with Ranger for Serpents Quickness, but Im not certain you get access to that skill right from the beggining.

Same reply with regards to the mesmer skill arcane echo. It's not available til later on. However I would say that The Elementist can pretty much run his own skills and not use anything from the other profession so don't worry too much about your choice now.

Just sit back and watch the damage pile up :)

As a reminder, even if you can't get a skill early in the game, you can always unlock it with Balthazar Faction. And if you don't want to PvP for it, just do Zaishen Challenges.
