how would you want them to be like?
i want buildings that i can actually walk in. it seems more practical and there would be much more freedom.
a bit more town-ish, not just a bunch of ppl around worn down ruins like in LA, but buildings with a tailor and a blacksmith where you can buy your gear.
and for the record, it's inside.
the buildings are then small instants, so it's not getting overly full around the tailor and blacksmith.(might be a problem, but it could be sorted out.)

I don't necessarily want all the buildings to be usable, but I would like to see Inns, Blacksmith and such NPC's located inside a non-instanced housing.
Here's my idea for Inns. With the persistent world that we will have, add a few Inns into some of the wild explorable areas. These are the areas that you can map travel to aside from outposts and cities.

I hate buildings and rooms that have no purpose. Just having buildings you can go into and come out the other side makes no sense to me and makes me even wonder why put it there in the first place. If you want to have buildings you go into, make them useful like have a blacksmith or someone inside. I don't want to see vacant or even a house with just one NPC that does NOTHING for you. Because sure enough after I've been inside and "explored" it I will never go back in, which makes the art in that building wasted.
Actual shops. Not barging into people's houses a la Zelda, unless the door is open and nobody is home. And they left their wallet behind.
Like the Lionguard is able to catch you.. Yarr Harr Harr.
An Inn-like 'Gathering place' would be nice.
Just waiting for someone while dancing in an outpost has limits to it's amusingness level.
In my opinion buildings should be places that you can enter, not just see the exterior.
An inn where you can get supplies, and have a "home" feeling.
Shops should be inside the building, where you can see part of the merchandize.
Privet buildings should be closed unless you need them for a quest, or empty houses (for people who love to RP).
well, it would be fun to have an inn, where you can sleep to get rid of negative effects on you, but you need to pay 10g too stay.
at least, assuming that effects are not just gone after 10 or 20 seconds.

I don't really like the idea of paying for sleeping in a hotel, the hotel should be a fun place..
Back when i played WoW people came to hotel to meet each other, some to rp, some made huge dance parties.
The idea of a paid hex removal is nice, but i think it should be removed by someone like the town/outpost doctor.

I find myself wanting to seriously slam my head against the wall next to me when thinking of how retarded negative effects that last until you drink a specific potions or get healed by a skill only a npc can get would be.
Please lord or whoever, keep away from bs like that, which only serves as a large nuisance to people.

there is a line for that, deal with it.
if Anet wants us to work with something more RP like, things like this are mostly added.
or do you like the idea of having a dull straight forward game where every potion just weirs off after 10 seconds without even one problem?:undecided:
