  1. Relief

I've been enjoying the daily zaishen quests since returning to play. The missions are fun to see again, since there are nearly 70 between the campaigns and EoTN, there is some nice variety bouncing around randomly. The boss bounties... well I'll be honest and only go after ones that are relatively "easy", which translates to "fairly close to an outpost I can map to". And I'm not much of a PvPer, but I have been enticed in to Jade Quarry and Fort Aspenwood as a result of the ...

  2. Catch up

I've been inactive in GW for so long, it is almost like a whole new game. I did check in on forums and peek at the wiki (for updates), for sentimental reasons, but hadn't played for more than 2 hours in a long time, until yesterday.

There was so much to catch up on! First, I checked all my characters for various presents and new minis. Then, I took everyone to the new (to me) Zaishen Menagerie and introduced their pets to the trainer (Except for Daenerys, who could not get Snappy ...

Yikes something happened to the formatting here. Entries seem stripped of spaces and returns so the entire thing is an unreadable glob of text. Embedded URL's are also shown as text string, making those links an eyesore. I wonder what happened?

Well I came to my senses and unsubscribed from WoW. Since this isn't a WoW-gripe site, I'll limit my comments: there were several issues I had that decreased my overall enjoyment of playing. After realizing I had logged in there once in ~6 weeks - albeit I was traveling for 2 of those weeks - I unsubscribed. And uninstalled.

Most of the issues that I perceived as shortcomings in WoW, I felt were handled better in LOTRO. These generally fall into the categories of: the economy, ...

  5. Dawn Stormborn's Blog

Argh, even more time since I've blogged. Again, LOTRO is at "fault", but I am determined to find a better balance between the various games. My friend ES balances LOTRO and GW quite nicely, and so can I, dang it.

I've blogged that I picked up both LOTRO and WoW last July, and even wrote a comparison of the games. Over the past month or two, my interest in WoW has taken a major nose dive. It is difficult to point to any specific thing, other than for me, in a straight ...
