Gads this is a suck year for deaths.

Well, she looks like a happy dog. Can't ask for more then that in life.

    Teeheehee. ;)

But really, give them 20 years, and there will be a new duchy, with at least 90 dwarven children, looking at a bright new future for dwarfkind. Bright... and inbred, that is.

Hir real name in the dwarven tongue would be Ogden Lamikal, by the way. Not that "Ogden" would be a normal name for a dwarf, but she probably adopted that nickname because it made hir sound tougher or something.

I knew you'd do that, I just freaking KNEW IT!
Of course you realize we're gonna have to stock some kegs that people got from nick for them.

Ogden will find 6 other dwarves and start a new fortress. Some more will join them in the first couple of months: immigrants who found a new home. This is the way of the dwarves, even after their civilization has already been dead for centuries.

They may get visited by megabeast dragons a few dozen years later, but they will just capture these dragons in cage traps and then simply put them into magma.

The old capital cities and the old abandoned fortresses will be overrun by troglodytes and nakes mole dogs, but the occasionally visiting adventurers will kill these all and admire the ancient engravings and statues.

Also, I think that Ogden is a female dwarf. This is because of the line "Ogden is maintaining mending on herself", which is of course not specific for hir, but I noticed that gender confusion of the heroes on Ogden, first.

Yeah they're basically really big boned humans :D My male assassin appears to weigh half as much and be about as tall! Maybe the norns called them dwarves first and it stuck with the humans :D

Dwarves may look short, but I bring my monk up to them, and most of them are taller then she is.

I like this GW alphabet thingy, reading your posts makes me realise that there are lots and lots of small details in GW that I never really pay attention to.

For X, there's always Xandra (pics of Xandra in her different outfits?) and all the Xunlai related stuff (pics of Xunlai chests all around the GW world? )

    Keep up the good work!

You've got some nice pics here :)

I got to admit that I don't normally spend a lot of time admiring the scenery in GW... even though I love how it looks! The "normal" zoomed-out view doesn't let you see what's going on above you, and the first person view is just a bit buggy and makes me feel like a small insect in the huge GW world.

Red bag. Make an exact dupe of the red bag that most mat drops come in.
Hell, make a redbag mold and sell the copies. I'd buy one.

I had many problems in the past with pugs when I started out. I started on factions, and spent a good month trying to pass vizunah square, and another few weeks trying to pass nahpui quarter. All the abuse/failures/general idiots ruined it alot and almost made me quit for good. Took a few weeks before I was willing to come back. Nowadays the pug nostalgia though is more about the few rare pugs you could get that were a good laugh and decent, forgetting all the awful ones you used to get. I do agree though that in general pugs are better now than they were then, although then again that not saying much :P

No, you didn't have bad luck or a minority experience. What you describe is how it was and how it is now.

I suppose that the better sociability of PUGs today is because the nasty little sociopaths moved on to other games. What's left are the true fans of the game, and the occasional latecomer newbie.

You have spiders with a torso size of 5cm in diameter in your country?

We only have spiders up to 5cm in diameter, including the legs here, and they already make me scream "wah, make it go away" (if with another person) or making them go away myself (if alone) or making me throw them to the tomcats.

Death by tomcats is a cruel fate. But it entertains the furry fonkers.

I was once in a store where they sold those huge hairy ones. (bird spiders as they are called here.)
When a customer asked the lady if she hadn't been bitten yet, here answer was "Yes, but you get used to it..." O_o

Our spiders don't have a body larger then 5 cm, so they aren't that bad.
But they still can give you a red rash and swollen flesh when they "accidentally" bite you at night.

And I am arachnophobiac , since one of those suckers climbed on my shoulder why I was drying myself off when I was very little. HUGE and moisty smelling thing on my shoulder...

Oh wel,l I still take pictures of them, when they are no larger then 1 cm and look cute.

    Eep.

I don't like spiders at all, but I can tolerate one or two to keep the flies and gnats in check. Those flyhunters aside, I very much appreciate it if a hornet or a tomcat takes care of the spider population every once in a while.

No I am not an arachnophobiac, I actually worked as a curator-understudy of about 53,000 spiders in a museum collection (pickled in alcohol). I also collected spiders (and centipedes, pseudoscorpions, ticks, mites and scorpions) in the field and reared spiders in little cages and stuff. I am exceedingly fond of jumping spiders because they are so responsive to movement, have cute faces and many have beautiful patterns and colors.

Seen the clock spider before, it always makes me laugh and at the same time glad I don't live in a place with really big spiders. Y'see I like spiders but not so much big huge hairy ones, I've also had first hand experience of seeing what spider venom does to flesh. Not pretty. I guess I have respect for those big guys, not so much fear.

You're an arachnophobiac? Then you just have to have a clockspider. ;)

Hotkeying Prot Spirit on a hero isn't exactly micromanaging. And you don't need any more than that.
  19. Kalidri's Avatar
Yep micromanage, or whine at the other guy with the monk to micromanage the monk...

    Micromanage the protter?
