I've mentioned this game already in my entry "good old games", and since I was revisiting TTLG, I felt like replaying this. However, my first attempt at doing that was cursed with strange crashes. A look at the tech forum at TTLG indicated that the dual processor might be the problem, but even after setting the game manually to only use one of the processors, it would freeze every once in a while. Probably a combination of nvidia and dual processors.

I gave up (sadly) until ...

The snow here, we went through a week of fog, frost covering everything, and now, more snow. Another half a foot of it piled on top of the snow we recived yesterday.

I should be out getting presents for friends or family, but I just...

I don't mean to sound grinchy, if anything, I'm glad for what we have. My mother got back from the hospital yesterday, after dealing with a bladder->kidney->blood infection for the last week ...

So, if I have playing time and could play GW, then I have the urgent feeling that I should bloody well run some chests to diminish the pain that a hacker could inflict on my account: each lockpick used is a treasure hunter point and some lucky/unlucky points that the hacker can't steal.

But this grind is leading straight forwardly down the road to lack of interest in the game.

Which means that I am currently wandering aimlessly around between the games that I have. ...
