Did I already mention Kleintje is an attention seeker? Well, he is! It already starts in the morning. Kleintje has his own bedroom (the spare bedroom) and we always lock the door when we go to bed. Because if we don't do it, he'll start to do annoying things around 5 minutes after we close our own bedroom door. He'll scratch the door and just won't stop (ignoring doesn't help, but putting him "to bed" will).

So, I wake up in the morning, get out of bed and open the door of Kleintje's room. I go to the toilet and then it starts... Kleintje will scratch the door of the toilet (we've a seperate toilet "room") till I'm done or till he's opened it. And if it's the latter, he'll start to beg for attention (one time he even tried to crawl into my lap!). So, I kick him outside, finish my business and go to the bathroom. We never close the bathroom door (keeps the moisture level lower) and Kleintje will follow me again. He'll sit in front of the shower stall (even poke his head inside when I open the door, he's not too afraid of water), till I'm done. When I'm dressed, it's time for some food (and rest for us), so he'll start mewing, loudly. Rooie will have come downstairs too by now (he usually sleeps upstairs, in our bedroom-to-be or somewhere else he can find a comfortable spot). So, I put food in both bowls and go for breakfast myself. Ahhhh, peace and quiet!

But then, Kleintje will finish quickly (leaving about three fourth of his bowl) and walk to the kitchen to try to get outside. Which he isn't allowed to, as I don't want the cats outside. So, he'll scratch and push the catflap untill we grow tired of him and throw him out the kitchen.

But, there's one thing more fun than annoying us. And that is throwing things off tables, couches, chairs, window sills and every other surface above the floor. The way he does it is very humorous though. He'll jump up, and sit beside the object he'll throw down. He'll look at the object, then look at the floor (and me, if he knows I'm there). He'll push the object a bit closer to the edge and repeats the process. Then, when the object is laying on the edge, he'll give it another last push and looks how it falls down. The bigger the object, the better. If it's a small object (like a screw) he'll jump down and starts to "chase" it. If it's a big object, he'll look around the surface to see if he can find something else to push down. Screws, measuring tapes, pens, computer mice (with or without cord), nothing is safe.

So, back to the morning. We were sitting in the kitchen, eating our breakfast, reading the newspaper, generally waking up. One cat (Rooie) was laying underneath the table, just enjoying being around is. The other (guess who) was messing around in the livingroom. There was a bottle of water standing on the window sill. We're not done yet in the livingroom and it's still used a working place. So, this bottle of water had done something to Kleintje (I think), because it had to be trown around. Especially so hard that the top would come off. So, there was a huge puddle of water on the window sill and more on the floor. And you know what is even more fun? Pushing that (open) bottle of water around the floor! Fun, fun, fun!

Towel time. Take a towel, mop the floor and leave it on the sill to remove the water there too. No, not according to Kleintje, towels musn't be used to clean water from sills! So, that too must be thrown down on the floor...

Luckily, it was time to get to work. Somehow they never break anything when we're not at home, only when we are...

Cats...

Taytu sneaked into Rhonwyn's room. Rhonwyn had been away for a few days, and was expected to be gone for a few more, so she should not be disturbed. Pulling a scroll out of her bag, she walked towards a large table. She put the scroll on the table, and put some weights on the corners of it, to keep it laying flat. Then she walked towards a closet and removed another scroll from there, labeled The Echovald Forest. Back at the table, she compared the two scrolls and marked those areas where there were differences. She already knew about the missing pieces in Morostav Trail, but then she noticed a big missing area south of Durheim Archives. Rhonwyn had an area called Mourning Veil Falls where she only had a white area.
Suddenly, a noise disturbed her. Quickly, she re-rolled the scroll and put it back where she had found it. Then she removed the weights and put her own scroll back into her bag and slipped out the door. Time to go the Echovald Forest.

Map traveling always gave her a sense of disembodyment and she didn't like it much. But it so helped with getting to places on this world. She had asked Koss, Ogden and Vekk to travel with her and decided to hire some henchmen too. Erys, Redemptor Karl, Cynn and Sheena were willing to join her forray for their share of the loot. Taytu agreed to this, scowling at the knowledge they'd take the lion's share of the loot. She also brought some lockpicks, Rhonwyn had given her. She also found a Kurzick key in one corner of the Xunlai chest, so she brought it with her too.

Ok, time to move out! The Kurzick where in control of Durheim Archives, so Taytu talked to the Kurzick Priest, just outside the gate and, for exchange of one hundred gold, she got his blessing.
First, the stream. It was crawling with Mantids and though some of them were nasty, they were disposed off easily. Taytu took out her map and a pencil (once she saw it in Kamadan's market, she just had to buy it, it made marking a map much easier than using pen and ink). She looked ahead, and drew the mountain slope on her map. Alongside that, the river flowed, going over some rocks and alongside some hillocks. Taytu followed the stream, untill she reached a waterfall and then moved away from it. She kept noting those features that were handy to remember on her map untill she arrived in Amatz Basin. Here she took a small time out to sell the things she had found under way and then she returned to Durheim Archives again, to fill in those few blank spots in Morostav Trail.

Once back in the guild hall, Taytu saw Zulaya coming from her room. "Zulaya, hold on!" Taytu ran towards her and asked: "Mind if I compared my map of the Echovald Forest to yours?"
"As long as you don't copy anyting," Zulaya asnwered, with a twinkle in her eyes.
"I wouldn't dare, not after that talk Rhonwyn gave me when she caught me copying hers..."
Taytu followed Zulaya back to her room, where she compared their maps. Zulaya said: "Looks like you've finished it all! What area will you fill up next?"
"The Jade Sea, I know I have some spots left there too. After that, I might go to Tyria and see some sights there. But, on the other hand, I might go to Kourna, I've no real idea yet. Thanks for the comparison!"
"No problem, and good luck in that Jade Sea."

Taytu went back to her own room and copied her working map. Once she had done that, she put the finished scroll in its spot, "Echovald Forest", next to "Shing Jea Island". "And now, it's time for a swim!" With that Taytu locked her room and left for the beach.

I need to reinstall my pc and my laptop. Both are running slow, very slow. But, both have been installed two years ago, so, it's not a strange thing. It's just that I hate figuring out what I must re-install again, and more importantly, where did I leave all those installers and registration keys!

I do say "my laptop", but actually, it's a work laptop. I already anticipated that re-install, as I made a virtual machine on which I do my work things. But still, there are other things on my laptop that will need re-installing. Like my MediaWiki installation, which also requires MySQL and a plugin for my IIS (so I can run PHP files). And then I'll need to get the data over. And I've no idea how MySQL works, as I normally only work with Microsoft products. But, I think I'll start on it this weekend, as I grow very tired of my mouse. It just stops working all the time. I'll hear "ping, ping", as if I disconnect it from the USB port and reconnect it again. No idea why it does that. And it's not the mouse itself, nor is it the USB port itself (only the mouse is doing it, not my external HD nor keyboard and if I'd plug in another mouse, it will have the same problem). Maybe a driver problem?

I will start on my pc after I finished the laptop. It's always handy to have a connection to the internet one way or another, if you're re-installing. I'll make a virtual michine too, so I can install those things I want to test on that. And that should keep my machine running smoothly.

After I've done that, I think I'll clear out my MP3 drive. I only need to find that missing DVD somewhere, so I can restore the files I've lost because of that HD crash I had two months ago. And I also need to clean out the my documents folder, as that is really a mess too.

So much to do, so little time to do it!

No idea how I must translate this title in English. According to Webster Online Dictionary Translation, it would be "Tormentor". But that's not exactly what a "Pestkop" is. Because Kleintje is.

Let me give you an example. I already told you, we have a cat flap. That thing is always open when we are at home and the cats can walk in and out freely. Or so it should work. But this is often what happens.
Rooie tries the flap with his paw, to see if it's open. Kleintje will sit and watch. Finally, Rooie decides that he can pass through and he'll rush outside (I think he's afraid the flap will bite him, or something, because he always rushes). Kleintje decides to go outside too and together they'll walk away.
At some point, Rooie comes back inside, to eat, drink, get a hug, it doesn't matter. After walking around the house three times, he decided to go back outside again. But now, Kleintje is outside, watching the cat flap...
Rooie will test the flap again with his paws (a bit like you would push against a door that closes automatically), and Kleintje will push back... From the outside. So, now we have a cat flap war going on, one cat wants to go outside and the other is preventing him. The same happens when Kleintje is inside and Rooie outside.

Another example. I got two baskets laying on my desk. Both cats want sleep on my desk, so I bought two baskets, laying side by side (I got a big desk...). Now, picture this. Kleintje is outside (as he again forgot how the cat flap works), Rooie is inside, laying in one of the baskets. At some point, Kleintje finally remembers how the thing works and gets inside. He'll jump on my desk, sees the red one laying there and will start to lick his face, ears and neck. You can see Rooise is enjoying this. But then, Kleintje tires of this and starts to bite in Rooie's back legs. Which Rooie doesn't want (naturally), and a fight will ensue. And Kleintje has his mission accomplished.

Those baskets are always in contention. I got two of them. One will hold a cat (either one), the other will jump up and decide he wants to lay, not in the empty basket, but the full basket. So, again, a fight ensues untill one leaves and the other can lay in that specific basket (it doesn't matter which btw, as long as it's the one that is already occupied...)

It's great to have two cats that like each other. The play-fighting is always fun to watch (often they're boxing!) and the taking care of each other is really touching.

Ahhhh, cats...

I might as well use this space to tell amusing/heart breaking/other strories about my cats.

But first, let me introduce them to you!

First, Kleintje. He's around 4, we don't know exactly as he's from the shelter. But why anybody would abandon him, I've no idea as he's one bundle of love. He always wants to be with me, it doesn't matter where I am. That means he'll be walking on my keyboard, laying on my mouse and just generally being an annoyance.

We got him last january, as we wanted a second cat to keep the mouse population under control. He had only just arrived at the shelter (only a week), so his previous owner still had the chance to pick him up. After two weeks, they're released and able to be placed with a new home. He was still a full male, and had to be "helped" before he was released, so, two weeks after we saw him, he went home with us.

At first, he was a bit afraid of everything, especially of the vaccuum cleaner. I learned that the hard way, as I was holding him, when the vaccum cleaner was turned on. I had three or four very deep scratches in my hand to prove he didn't like it. Man, that hurt! But, over time, he grew calmer and more lovingly. Naturally, we don't know how long he had been walking on the street, before being picked up by Animal Control. But he's a lot fatter now than when he was when we got him.

Sadly, the other cat we already had, Poes, never wanted to befriend him, I think he had been alone for too long. Poes died in June of this year, the introduction of a new cat might have hastened his passing. He had heart troubles (which we didn't know about until it was too late) and the arrival of a new cat might have created so much stress that it pushed him past the brink. Poes will never be forgotten and he'll still be my dearest cat. But, it might sound harsh, but life must go on.

Kleintje was really a "people" cat. He even didn't mind dogs (my mother visited at one point and the cat started to play with the dogs, which the dogs didn't appreciate), so we decided to get another cat. We didn't want to have the same situation as we had before, where we had a cat that couldn't get used to another cat in the house. Around that time, my mother-in-law mentioned they had two strays walking outside their house. They live outside, in the country, and there usually are a lot of half-wild cats wandering around there. But these two looked tame and they were brothers. So, my mother-in-law put up signs everywhere that they had those two cats in their backyard. Nobody responded, and we decided to take the quieter of the two brothers. First, he went to the vet and was "helped" (the vet didn't know the cats either and didn't know anybody who was missing two cats) and chipped. We assume they were both kicked out of the house when the summer started, as they were both healthy and only a bit skinny. The vet estimated his age at around 1.

So, my mother-in-law brought him to us, and we introduced him to Kleintje. We decided to call him Rooie, as that is what he is, Red. They both connected immediately, so no problems there. I was even able to feed them side by side after a day, though I changed that about a week later, as one would always wait for the other to finish first. They even started to make use of the same cat litter... (while we have two set up for them).

Rooie grew with the food. Not in width, but in stature. He's a big cat, with huge feet. A really big boy but he's very sweet. He doesn't like to be picked up (unlike Kleintje, who, I think, is only happy when he's in somebody's arms), but he will lay in his basket on my desk, just sleeping and being there. He was very skittish when we got him, but that's slowly receding, and I think he's going to be a very contented cat, that loves laying in the sun and in front of the hearth this winter. As long as we are around, he's happy.

It's kind of weird, the 4-year old is acting like a child, being obnoxious when he doesn't get attention, or even worse, when he's tired, never able to sit still and not listening at all. The 1-year old is like an old gentleman, laying somewhere near you, enjoying the being together, but from a distance (but when he wants attention, you should give it, or he won't leave you alone), and actually listening when you send him away. An example is the cat flap. The cats are never outside when we're asleep or away from the house. So, we have a cat flap that can be locked (either to the inside, the outside or both). Kleintje will try to go outside even though we removed him from the door and he tried to open it in all different ways. Rooie will try to open it (pushing it with his paw), notice that it won't open and walk away... And it gets worse! When I finally get home, and open the flap, Rooie will try again, notice it will open and go outside. Kleintje will look at this and walk back, not looking at the flap until I throw him outside...

Cats...

Danea has become known as Protector of Cantha. And she decided she would give her aid to those that need it in Elona. She has met some princes, crossed the desert and has descended in the Realm of Torment.
Recently, I noticed that the creatures outside Ascalon have grown stronger. Warmaster Tydus asked me to vanquish those creatures outside the gate of Ascalon. I told him I'd take that task upon me. I decided to tally how many creatures I had slain before I had them all. I finally stopped counting at 458. When I went back to Tydus, Poes and I were ready for a well-deserved rest.

Talking of Ascalon, Zulaya finally decided she wanted to see where her father had come from and has made the trek to Ascalon recently. She didn't find much problems on the way.

Apparently, Kormir was so taken in with Masara, she made her a Sunspear General and send her to investigate Varesh. But something went wrong and Masara was separated from Koss, her warrior friend. She followed him and tried to find him on the Kourna mainland. She hasn't found him yet, but she's not giving up hope. She was also asked to train one of the Zaishen recruits and after some intensive talks she decided Acolyte Jin would be the one that would get some training in the ways of the Sunspear. In order to prevent rank problems, Kormir promoted her to Sunspear Castellan.

Right now, Masara is helping people on Istan Island. She has found lost objects, cleared the coast of pirates and exterminated some deceased plants. I think she's destined for great things.

As I already told you before, my father has also sired some children in Elona. I found out Zauditu is the oldest. But there are three more daughters. First there is Zauditu, she's a necromancer. Then there are Masara, Abechi and Taytu. Well, last weekend I met up with Masara. It took me some time to find her, as she is really working hard towards her advancement in the Sunspear ranks. I talked to her for a long time, and when she heard I had this blog active, she asked my permission to write her lifestory here. So, I'll just stop writing, and let Masara fill in the rest.

"A good day to all of you. My name is Lady Masara. I'm born on Istan Island, not too far away from the capital Kamadan. I didn't know much about my father, before my half-sister, Rhonwyn, told me about him. The only thing I knew was that he was a nobleman from a foreign country. He was already very quiet about his own life. Now, I know why. He did have more children than I thought. I always felt he was dissapointed he only got daughters with my mother (I'm the second of four). Which leads me to my theory as to why he had so many children. I think he always wanted a son. But, enough about my father.

Ever since I could walk, I've been following the Sunspears around (or so my mother claims). I've always loved the idea of helping people, without the need of reward (maybe, except a thank you so now and again). So, when it was time for me to find a profession, I appealed to Kormir. She welcomed me to the ranks of the Sunspear. I had a difficult time choosing what profession I'd follow there, as I had several ideas about that. It either had to be a ranger (not the tree hugging kind, but the tactician, the one that would keep an eye on the battle field and give the orders accordingly), or a warrior. I'm not a spellcaster, I just couldn't get that state of mind that is required for those professions. And I'm too much an unbeliever to become a dervish. I'm always analyzing things and that interferes with the raport you need to be a good dervish.

While I was thinking of my choices, I saw Kormir in a (mock) battle. I noticed she didn't have a bow, nor a sword. She was brandishing a spear, and very effectively. From that moment on, my choice was made. I wouldn't become a ranger nor a warrior, but a paragon. After the battle, I went to Kormir, and told her my decision. She said being a paragon wasn't easy (not if you wanted to be good), but it was a very satisfying profession. You can direct and support your team, which is something I always wanted.

So, after I made my choice, I started training hard. I found a fellow sunspear who wanted to help me, and together we started our training seriously. We first decided to clear the area around Kamadan of dangerous plants, insects and skales. I got many favourable reports, so my rise in the ranks was quickly. After the problems around Kamadan were cleared up, we moved on to the Cliffs of Dohjok. There, too, did they have a problem with insects, plants and skales, but here there were also some very nasty harpies. I also noticed that some Kournan pirates were trying to establish a beachhead on the floodplain. I drove them away, but I will have to bring this to the attention of Kormir as soon as I meet up with her again. Thanks to the favourable reports, I've just been made Sunspear Commander.

While I was hunting for those pests, I started thinking about what second profession I would take. One evening, I started talking to Rhonwyn about that. She said she had knowledge about every profession, but didn't know them all that well. She usually used some skills of the monk profession (mostly the ressurection skills), but she usually brought Poes with her and thus only used skills the enhance the killing power of her companion. We then started talking about the differences between rangers and paragons and came to the conclusion that they aren't that much different from each other. Both are a backline fighter, but where the ranger is supurb in interrupting, the paragon had some great skills to enhance the entire party. So, I started thinking about that and wondered what a paragon, combined with some ranger skills, would be able to offer the party. I also want to get an animal companion of my own some day, though I don't want a bird or a pig. I did hear about lions on the mainland, and I've seen pictures of them. Now, they would fit a powerfull paragon. But, first I have to finish my business on my birthland before I will go and explore the mainland. So, I went to Churrhir Fields and I told First Spear Dehvad that I wanted to become a secundary ranger.

I got word that Dunkoro, a great Sunspear tactician, had asked for assistance. I helped him with getting rid of some harpies, and apparently Kormir was pleased with my action, as she send me to impress General Morghan with my skills. And impressing him I did. He said he'd never seen a paragon that had risen so quickly in the ranks and he told me that in order to be able to rise further, I'd have to enlarge my horizon beyond Champion's Dawn. To hear that from one of the greatest paragons alive is praise indeed. I went to Kormir and told her what Morghan had told me. She concurred and send me to find a young woman Melonni. She would have information for the Sunspears. When I found her, I found out that Koss, whom I had thought originated from Istan Island, knew her from Kourna where they grew up together.

Well, I got the information from Melonni and met up with Kormir. She gave me my next assignment which was to investigate in Jokanur Diggings. Something there had starting killing the people who were busy excavating the place. After passing some tests (which I passed without problem), I came across the Apocrypha, which I promptly killed.

I got some time off from Kormir after this, so, I think I'll head over to new area's on this island to see if more people need my help. If I get permission from Rhonwyn again, I'll write some more at a later date."

So, this is Masara's story. She really holds our name high. I think you might hear more of her in the no so distant future.

Somewhere last year, I mentioned that I had another Canthan half-sister (besides Chichibu). Her name is Lady Zulaya and she couldn't be more of an opposite of Chichibu. While Chichibu is a bit reckless and carefree, Zulaya is a very serious person. Like my cousin Anysbryd, she is blind, but unlike her, she wasn't born so. From what Zulaya told me, an accident that happened when she was very young took away her eyesight. But, even with this handicap, she was taken in with the Monastery and she trained to become a Ritualist. When I asked Master Togo why blind persons almost always ritualist, he mentioned that being blind is a big plus for that profession. It keeps the distractions of this world out of the communication with the other world.

I met Zulaya at the Monastery, she never had that much of a drive to go and experience the rest of the world. Chichibu had already gone to look for their father, so, why would she do the same? And when Chichibu told her about the devastation of Ascalon and the death of their (and my) father, she knew she didn't have to go and search for him as well. When I met Zulaya, it took me a lot of time (and skill) to get her to leave her beloved island. But when I took her to Kaineng City and she saw the extend of the plague there, she decided she would try to do something about it. But first, she told me, she would go and get stronger and more knowledgeable about the world. So, we said goodbye to each other and she left for Elona.

In Elona, Zulaya picked up some helpers and she made it to the mainland. When she arrived there, she managed to help the sunspears get a new headquarters, but decided she'd get stronger before she'd help them. So, she went back to the harbour and took a boat to Tyria. There, she heard talk about Ascending, and that it would give you some mystic powers. So, she went to the ritual of Ascencion. This took her some time, as she always rethings every action twice. It must be that ancient accident that happened in her past that makes her so carefull in everything she does.

But yesterday, when she returned to the Hall, she came to my room with triumph. She had Ascended and felt great about it. Well, it should. Ascension requires you to look into the mirror of your soul (and survive), and if you can survive that, it shows a great deal of character. She told me she'd go back to her island and help some more people there, with the knowledge she has gained in Tyria and Elona.

I know we will hear more of her deeds in the future.

There were some places, mostly in the Desolation that I had only heard talk of, so I decided I should and check them out myself. And in one of those areas, called Crystal Overlook, I found a portal to the place where was the beginning of the end of the Flameseeker Prophecies, the Crystal Desert. I really felt like going home at that point, but I decided to continue my mapping quest in Elona. And I'm glad that I did, because now I have three maps hanging side by side in my room in the Guild Hall.

After I had hung the map in my room, I decided I wanted to learn some more skills from certain people in Elona. Some of those didn't want to teach me their skills, so, I had to use force to get the knowledge I wanted. Especially some Paragon didn't want to share their knowledge and had surrounded themselves with helpers. But in the end everybody tought me the skills I wanted and I've been added in the Books as an Elite Skill Hunter.

Now, I think I'll be heading back to Cantha and help some more people there. I believe I must still deliver the message to a fellow countryman that he can go home. I've had that knowledge for months now, but everytime I tried to find him, something interfered. I've helped enough foreigners now, I think it's time to help my own countrymen again.

It appeared Gonzo wanted to talk to the Eternal Forgemaster to get some new gloves and boots. Sedair and Kittycat decided to join as well. But when Danea saw that Sedair was a monk, she decided she didn't have to go and went back to the beach in Fisherman's Haven. I really must talk to her, she's getting lazy and her lynx is getting fat. To not let Gonzo (and Cyn) down, I decided to go in her stead. Poes has been to the Fissure once and she had had loads of fun there. So, I told Gonzo we'd be coming along.

The trip went smoothly, I don't think we were in a lot of trouble at any one time. I noticed Poes doing some nice damage, so I think I might bring her in there more often. I found a key there, and three Obsidian Shards, so, I must say I was lucky. The rest of my drops were awful, but I may not complain. At the end, Gonzo got his new gloves and boots and he now has a very nice suit. It really fits his assassin profession, because it's sleek and silent.

I've also been exploring Vabbi. Most white spots there are now coloured on my map. So, I've moved on the Desolation. I have a lot more white spots there. But I want to put that map up, next to the other two, as soon as possible, so, I'll be concentrating on that now.

Oh, I've also contracted an artist to make a portrait of me and Poes and here's the result:

I hope you like it, it took a long time to stand still and Poes didn't feel like standing still at all...

I've learned some more new skills and ventured in the Underworld again.

Zulaya has finally finished the second part of her Rites of Ascention, she now needs to go to the Dunes of Despair and finish the ritual. She has asked Anysbryd for help because she heard she had to fight her evil self (and as Anysbryd is also a ritualist, she might give Zulaya some hints and tips on how to beat her). But Anysbryd has only just arrived in the desert and will have to do the entire Rites of Ascention still.

And Danea still didn't feel the urge to free Koss. I really must prod her on her way soon, because poor Koss will think she has deserted him.

Sweetpea has asked me again if she could use this space for a blog of her own (I think she might have to find her own space...). But for now, she can use this space.

-------------------

Jersey, a guild mate of mine, together with Rei (also a guild mate) had won the Winterday Contest and won a ticket for the Wintersday Party of ANet in Brighton, England. They could both bring one other person to the party, and Jersey asked me to come. I said yes, as I really liked the idea of meeting some guild mates of mine. Also, I had never been to England before and this was as good a reason as any other. So, I booked a flight to London for Friday (February 2nd) and I'd return on Sunday afternoon.

Jersey had left for London a day earlier, so he was already there. We met up in Victoria Station, where it took us some time to find each other. Having never seen each other didn't help, and also, Victoria Station is a huge place! But, after some 45 minutes, we finally met each other and after dumping our suitcases, we went to town. First, we went to Buckingham Palace. I wouldn't want to be the one that has to polish all the gold there... We then went to the Tower of London. That place is huge! We spent the whole morning there and when Rei called (somewhere after noon), we hadn't even seen everything yet. We did see the Crown Jewels and most of the White Tower. We met up with Rei and went to the Millenium Bridge. We then took a walk alongside the Thames to London Bridge station and, as the time was already getting on, Jersey and I said goodbye to Rei and went on to Brighton. Rei wouldn't stay overnight in Brighton, as he lived not too far away.

From the Brighton Station, we walked towards our hotel. And I can tell you, it was a long walk, especially if you've been walking around London all day before that. We finally managed to find the hotel, dumped our suitcases and went back into Brighton to find something to eat. When we finally got back again, I crashed on my bed and fell asleep soon after. It had been a very, very long day for me, as I had gotten up that morning at 04:30 (Dutch time), which would be 03:30 British time.

After a very good sleep, I went to breakfast alone, as Jersey only woke around 10. So, soon after Jersey had finished his breakfast, we went to the place where the party was to be held. It was a very nice day, with a perfect blue sky and not a lot of wind. So, that walk on the beach was really nice. The party was at an internet cafe, and we found us four computers (Rei had his girlfriend with him) next to each other. So, we logged on and settled ourselves for a long day of playing GW. They had thought of some nice events, one which was a Mission Relay. Which didn't really work out as originally planned, but still was a lot of fun. We had to do Nolani Gates, D'Alessio Seaboard and The Wilds, both mission and bonus. As fast as we could, with a team of 4. We had three GWO players (Rei's girlfriend didn't play with us for this one) and one outsider, Stud. We messed up doing Nolani. We decided to open the front gate, which is very fast, but that doesn't give you much time to get the book and do the bonus. So, Rurik just went to kill himself and we failed the mission. The second time, we took the long route, and we finished very fast, but that first attempt also counted in the time. We could have gotten D'Alesio a bit faster by splitting, but the Wilds went like a dream. We hardly had time to look around and we worked like an oiled machine. Too bad that French team (there were 3 teams, the third team was doing not that well, they had forgotten to do the bonus with Nolani) was also a very good team that didn't make the mistake of letting Rurik die.

It was all in fun, so, we also could do things on our own. So, we brought Jersey's survivor monk to the desert, with the help of our guild leader. Actually, Rei and Jersey were listening to questions asked of Izzy (the one that's responsible for the skill updates), while we went to do Sanctum Cay. After that, we three (Rei, Jersey and I) went on our way to Dunes, so my survivor can now finish that mission too.

The party was from noon till 22:00, and as time flies when you're having fun, it was 10 before we knew it. Two people from Anet/NCSoft?? had their birthday (one on Friday, the other on Monday), so, they were giving a party in one of the pubs in Brighton. Rei had to go home (he had to catch a train), but Jersey and I went to that party as well. I actually hate pubs, but I decided to go anyway. It was a bit of fun (considering I hate loud music and busy areas). We met up with Qwazy and Synthos dawnbreaker there. Well, they couldn't miss us, as we were wearing GWO shirts, with our Guild logo on the back, and our names on the front.

After that, I went back to the hotel, while Jersey stayed a bit longer. Again, I slept very well, and had a good (English) breakfast. We then went for the train station. Where we found out that the train wouldn't start at Brighton but at some other station. So, we had to go by bus to that station and there get the train to Victoria. So, we arrived there about an hour later than planned. There we went to the London Tower to try to find the London Dungeons. When we had finally found it (I won't tell how long that took), we had to wait in line for a long time, and the tour takes a long time also. I will have to go there again, as I didn't see all of it. I had to catch a plane. I didn't have that much time left when I finally arrived at the Airport (which took me somewhat more than 30 minutes), because 5 minutes after I arrived the the boarding area, we boarded the plane.

I had a great time, last weekend, and I'd like to thank Jersey again for inviting me.

-------------------

Well, that's her story again (and again, I've no idea where she went, I also don't have a London or Brighton, and they sound like large towns!). Let's continue with the more important news.

As of last week, me and my sisters have been promoted to officer! Pfff, I finally got that off my chest... We would like to thank my guild for having that much trust in us, we will try to be a good officer. I've forgotten everything else I wanted to write down. Not that I've been very busy but still... I'm still busy filling in my Elonian map (maybe I'll find this "London" and "Brighton" there...), while my sieters are still taking it easy. I know Zulaya has reached Dunes of Despair and will by trying to Ascend. She already has finished one third of the process, and now has to do two more. And we might hear more from Danea soon, as she has decided to rescue Koss.

Till next time!

The Aataxes reacted strangely, they didn't want to stay on target and just wandered around aimelessly (or so it looked). At first, when we robbed their corpses, we couldn't find anything of value, but after going inside deeper and deeper, we finally encountered the better equiped foes. As my only reason to get there this time was to gather enough money for dye, I was getting afrain I wouldn't be able to find an ectoplasm. They are expensive at this moment, so I would be able to make a good price of it. Finally, I found an ecto and Right Eye found one a little later. Kaei, who usually finds more keys than she can use, never found one this time, and she didn't find any ectos either.

When we got out again, I decided to sell my ecto and buy some white dye. Jersey, one of the guild officers, had two extra white dye, and I bought two myself. I looted to Chichibu's stash and grabbed four yellow to go with the white. Now, my new Krytan armour is a nice creamy white colour, instead of that ugly greenish colour.

I mentioned in an earlier blog that my guild was thinking about changing guild halls. Well, we did. I'm still looking for a nice place to stay, can't really find a room with a nice view... I think I won't be spending that much time there...
