It's not as scary as I was making it out to be.
So, the other day, I monked for real people for the first time ever. On a Vanquish. And I was surprised. It wasn't that bad. I wasn't that bad. I mean, I could have been better but people were alive more than they were dead.
Then, today, I went and monked in AB. And while there's a certain unpleasantness in knowing everyone's going to target you right away...it wasn't that bad. I think I did okay, all things considering. It's a long way off any more 'leet' pvp but it's all good practice. Especially not relying on the old faithful redbars when you end up healing for randoms that are not team-mates.
The fun thing is that I am really enjoying the profession now, which is something I never would have guessed. I struggle to keep my cool still, and I'm still making noobish mistakes but I think that maybe - just maybe, it's starting to sink in. Still, I've a lot of improving to do.
Back to lurking the Monk forum and Observer Mode, I guess.
Oh, and just 'cause I like pictures - my pve monksauce: (yeah, compression killed that picture alright...oops)
