The questions concerning farming

Now I understand that we cannot discuss tactics, techniques and/or strategies for farming. But I do believe we are allowed to discuss the subject itself as long as we don't get into any of the former. Now, that being said I think its time to bring up the question as to why we are not allowed to discuss farming in that sense in threads and such. I don't think farming or running are officialy sanctioned by ArenaNet but they obviously aren't condoned due to the fact that almost everyone farms and runs. It seems to be neccessary in order to keep up with GuildWars' thriving in-game economy. Its simple really: those who have the good items make alot of money, and people who don't have good items must seek to gain more good items in order to supplement their wealth. They can either do this by buying low and selling high, or farming. Now I must admit that I am not good at farming at all. I've been working on some good builds for it recently but I don't know if I'll ever make a significant amount of gold from it. Is farming neccessary to enjoy the game or not is the question I want you to respond to here.

    Where are we not allowed to discuss farming?
    I think what they're not wanting is the same threads on the same things with the same rants.
    Here in the blog forum, you can discuss ANYTHING you want, as long as it doesn't break the hard and fast rules of the forum. (racest, swearing, spamming other sites or advertiseing)

    Fact of the matter is, farming has pretty much turned into a viable part of gameplay, and anet's keeping 55ing, 600/smite, permas, as well as some ele tanking, means it's not that big an issue with them. The only times it becomes an issue is when to many botters end up farming a spot, and when a farm run yields to much stuff for to little time involved. (UWSC in under 30 min)

    As far as 'enjoying' the game... that kinda depends.
    Some people can handle the repetitious needed to farm and refarm the same spots over and over again. Others... will end up pulling their hair out after a while.
    It also depends on what items you're going after.

    Tell you what, post what you're wanting to get, and what charas and builds you have to work with, and we'll go from there.

    Hi there, Speaking of death prediction, I find it really odd that one of the on-line death prediction services showed me the same death date that I was foretold in my dream about a year ago. http://yourdeathdate.info/1/index.html - I can’t explain this coincidence in any other way except that there must be some kind of magic involved here
